The Labour Party (LP) has come forward to address the recent trending stories suggesting that its presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, might soon face arrest. In a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, the LP expressed its concerns about these stories, especially when they are linked with video clips taken from pre-election and campaign speeches by Obi.

Ifoh emphasized that these videos, spliced to appear recent, are a mischievous and potentially criminal attempt to fabricate a false sense of culpability and entrapment. The LP firmly asserted Obi's commitment to the rule of law and non-violent politics, making it clear that he is not associated with any form of violence.

The insinuations that Obi might be involved in orchestrating violence were dismissed as baseless. The LP highlighted Obi's dedication to justice and his belief that justice should prevail, regardless of how long it takes.

In response to these rumors and insinuations, the LP advised prophets and soothsayers, whether real or imagined, to refrain from including Peter Obi in their prophecies. Obi's faith lies in the Nigerian people and his God, not in imaginary fortune tellers.

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) expressed its alarm over a fire incident at the Supreme Court, describing it as suspicious. The party raised concerns about the timing of the fire, especially in light of the ongoing high-profile electoral cases, including presidential election appeals, pending before the Supreme Court.

The PDP called for an immediate full-scale investigation into the fire outbreak to uncover the circumstances or potential sabotage behind the incident. The party is determined to ensure that the Supreme Court can continue to effectively fulfill its constitutional duties without any hindrance.

In a time filled with speculation and uncertainty, both the Labour Party and the PDP are taking steps to protect their interests and uphold the rule of law.
