At times, we may face roadblocks in our quest for sucess, thus wearing us out. Stories abound of people who were either frustrated in their quest to study medicine, because they were several points short of attaining the required score. But this case of failure is not only restricted in the field of academics (and I mentioned medicine in particular, because of its endearing popularity and reverence in the world). The employment world is also inundated with tales of workers who were unable to gain the coveted position at work because they had crossed their boss's path. While this may create a sense of failure and frustration in their life, there are some who have choosen to embark on their quest for success in a different route. Even if it means, taking JAMB 3-4 times to study Law, nothing, it appears could derail their quest of becomign a lawyer. The rest, not so endowed with this ambition would reluctantly give up and diverge into another career path. 2 days ago, I was on a Nigerian webpage and read this touching story of a man who scored the highest point in the JAMB exams and got admitted into college back home. http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/features/education/2007/jan/30/education-30-01-2007-001.htm). A scholarship from Cowbell was another icing on the cake (or should I say, the butter on his bread). Isnt that encouraging?

A different case, replete with failure. A girl, in an attempt to compete in a national pageant, competed 9 times at a state organized pageant, with no sucess at all. Age limit forced her to give up her dream of ever winning the Miss USA pageant. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andria_Mullins)


So, my question is this, would you ever give up your attempt to fulfil your dreams, even if it means competing 9 times all to no avail, or when exactly do you give up on following your dreams?

At times dreams are not achieve due to one reason or the other, dream should be give up when it is getting out of hand cos time is waiting no man. On the other hand, one can find alternative when time is going against his dream and he would later go for his dream after achieving another thing, i bliv it would be easier by then

Read the life of Abraham Lincoln and how many times he seek to be the USA president, read the life of Albert Estein  and the number of times he failed before he can achieve success, read the life of Gandin.  Why should I be calling these names why something is happening at my backyard.

A friend of mine took Jamb for 5 times because he wants to study medicine and each scoring 282- 290 and he wasn't accepted in each admission. Finally the family pushed him to study a different course. He studied Microbiology and when he graduated, he refused to work.

He moved back and started taking Jamb again. As God may have it, he was finally admitted into a university to student his dream field. You need to see the smile on his face.

Sometimes you will feel so frustrated but given up your dream is the was calamity.

If your dreams are realistic, then you most not give up.
You should not be dreaming to become a lecturer in the
varsity when you have not gone to school.

If the dream is realistic and achievable, be frank with your self and don't give in.

There are 2 types of dram.
1st dream, when u wake up from ur sleep.
2nd dream, when u give up ur life, when u say bye bye to the world.

Every dream has its expiry date. If the time duration to achieve that dream lapses. Alternative B should be
considered cos time is not on anyone's side.

Never give up on your dream. Some people just don't know how close they were to achiveing their dream when they gave up.

So, go for the goal even if it kills you.
