A pro democracy group STAND UP NIGERIA has condemned allege plans by the President Bola Tinubu administration to appoint Gen. Hamza Al-Mustapha (rtd) as Controller General of the Nigeria NSCDC.

The group in a statement signed by its Coordinator Sunday Attah on Sunday said such plan if true, does not only negate the pro democratic principles which President Tinubu stands for, but will erode the gains made over the years by the Corps.

I kinda like Al Mustapha,

If it’s experience….

He has got that in abundance. And I am sure he is capable of doing a good job leading the NSCDC.

Morally however… If it’s a good move I am not sure.

Security is a sensitive issue!

Al Mustapha is a good move in the right direction for NSCDC.

TINUBU CAN'T BE RIGHT TO APPOINT ALMUSTAFA FOR ANY POST IN HIS GOVERNMENT. TINUBU MAY EXHUME ABACHA FOR THE APPOINTMENT.

Almustapha is capable smart and intelligent but tinubu appoints based on political considerations not minding if the person is a criminal rather than expertise qualifications.that will be his greatest undoing and eventual failure

We have nothing against him, he was a soldier, who served the Nigerian army well, and later after the death of his principal, gave power to the one who handed over to a democratic regime, with his experience, he is a good fit for any defence position.

I don't think there is anything wrong with Al-Mustapha as CG of NSCDC

Al Mustapha is a true soldier and a patriot with firm belief in the Nigerian project. He should be the NSA

He has a questionable past but his experience and capacity to deliver are not questionable.

If APC can absolve treble repentant Bokoharam into the Nigerian Military then Hamza Mustapha is not the worst of them.

Tinubu himself and MKO came to Ibadan to meet Abacha to oust Idiagbon, and they also selected his cabinet for him

This is the best decision Tinubu will ever make. Anyone against this decision is an enemy of Nigeria. Major Hamza Al-Mustapha ought to even be the National Security Adviser but Nuhu Ribadu is also okay.
