“Idris said it was regrettable that only few people were, hitherto, benefitting from the subsidy regime, adding that the few were enjoying the common wealth of the entire country at the expense of the majority.“ How are only few people benefiting from subsidy regime and yet many are feeling the subsidy removal?? |

Anybody thinking the suffering is temporary is in self delusion. Emefiele dealt with Nigerians but kept saying things will get better.even after seeing things were getting worse and people dying. For me to believe you Mr tinubu do the following first . A) reduce by 70percent allowance and salary of all legislative and executive politicians. B(Buy car worth not more than 10 million naira for them.( I heard they gave them cars worth 130 million ) 98percent of Nigerians drive cars that are less than 5millon naira C) Reduce by 70percent plenary days use zoom for most meetings. D)Reduce by 70 percent foreign and local travels.( If you are privy to amount spent on travels by govt officials on logistics you will marvel.) E)Show Nigerians the details of income and expenditure of Nigeria . monthly. This will guide us in giving appropriate suggestions on how to make Nigeria work.( In any serious organization, firm or company shareholders go through the companies income and expenditure and make suggestions, review practices and ideas to see how it can improve) If Nigerians are stakeholders in project Nigeria this should be done. Please minister when is the end? How long do the grains and fertilizer sustain the recipients? It's very difficult to trust Nigeria rulers at the top because they really don't know what masses on ground are going through. This is because the say one thing and behave as if they have forgotten, until reminded and another promise is given on the unfulfilled ones. I just hope the end shall not go beyond this year 2023, if not ... |

We need the duration of that pain, you cannot vaguely tell us that our pain is temporary, without time lag. Please, if such a statement is being made, let it be accompanied with specified time lag, if not Nigerians will not accept it. |

wittywriter: Wittiness is supposed to mean application of Wisdom and Understanding for Good/Sound judgment/decisions. An irony of your Wittyness. Until you understand the effect of fuel subsidy as obtainable in Nigeria due to corruption, you will not appreciate the future effect of the removal of the fuel subsidy. The journey from the past misappropriation and the future good (if properly appropriated) cannot be wished away. We have to endure a short suffering. I believe by next year we will begin to enjoy the dividends of the fuel subsidy removal as well as other economic and financial policies being implemented. If you know economics and financial experts, they know the implications. Unbiased expert judgment/analysis is what you need to understand all what Nigeria is going through presently. This administration is an answer to several years of prayers both on federal and state levels. Only give them time and pray for them. God has indeed remembered Nigeria. [/quote] |
