For where? All the useless people in Nigeria only have time for tribal supremacy and fights so if you really want such a program, you best look elsewhere.

please look out for the meaning of that word.
DICON tried to produce Nigerian version of AK47, by reverse engineering with a code name "OBJ 007".

After expanding huge sums of money on the project through various publicity stunts, the project is still on the drawing board. If Nigeria cant replicate common AK 47, then how can survive foreign invasion? shocked we are doomed.

It does not require alot of efforts to build war ships locally, but where is the commitment and political will?

My freind and elder mentor was producing home made bombs and semi-automatic rifles as far back as 1993. But guess what? Iran took him over after producing and successful lunching of a solid fuel rocket, capable of delivering small payloads in a range of 5km with a precision GPS cordinates input option laced with a position tracking locator.

The project took him 7 years to complete and ALL the engineers that worked on that project are locals. He was actaully having problems with the GPS control system until he met some guys from Ibadan.

Isn't it the beginning of failure when before they have finished the project it is already named after a ruler.

All they need to do is call those "illiterate" welders, and Nigeria will be manufacturing its own "AK 47" and other such weapons in no time.

Don't we know it will never happen under this dilapidated system already.
