An avoidable mistake has been corrected. That young people should be given appointment doesn't mean that common sense should binned. A chairman of board of government agency must have towering work experience to be able to supervise and superintend over the management led by the CEO and command their respect. However, this may not be applicable to private firms. Therefore, it is 'madness' for Engr. Imam Kashim Imam a rookie engineer who finished NYSC last year to chairman the board of FERMA and supervise FERMA CEO Dr. Chukwuemeka Agbasi who has PhD in Engineering and over 30 years experience in local and international civil engineering (consulting and contracting) and applied research. Nigeria is truly a very BIG joke in Africa. Do you know that maturity in age is one of the key ingredients of leadership? I can't comprehend the wisdom behind the appointment of a 24 yrs to head an important government agency as FERMA, when experience and maturity should be the driver in this appointment. His father is the current TetFund chairman. I wonder how on earth such appointment will work out. Even if they are good Nigerians, they are not the only ones good in Nigeria. Probably all names that looks like the Vice president name may not make appointment list in this administration despite making headlines. It was Maryam Shetti, now it's Kashim Imam. This subtraction and addition is showing the face that the peace and Unity in the Nigerian National Anthem is One sided.
