I have an idea. Why not scrap the naira and let us start using the dollar as our currency since everyone is going mad about the dollar. Rubbish.
Afghanistan's Afghani became the highest performing currency in the world just a few weeks ago. It performed even better than the USD. How did they do it? They criminalized the spending of dollar in their country and this reduced drastically the demand for the dollar. Why can't we do same here? Oh I remember the politicians demanded dollar bribes during the last elections and many have dollars stashed away in foreign currencies overseas so how can the dollar fall because the same people are in government?

If you don't hire them and you can't get those skills locally, how will you run the operation. Hiring expatriates helps to transfer needed skills to local staff.

Crude oil is an international commodity and international trades are not quoted in Naira.
