O Yes ! when it does happen, take heart, and be sure you know what exactly is at stake. Alternatively, change the topic, and make sure you are supervised and assisted.

I remember my time. I bought Sprague-Dawley rats. I had four groups ( control,…etc). 6 per group making 24 in total. Can you believe that those animals were involved in cannibalism. I had to start over. At the end of the day, my supervisor published my work on the British journal of pharmacology and toxicology. All I’m stressing in essence is to not give up.

At UI, took my project to my Supervisor, Baba looked at me and said, my brother, you will be here for a very lonnnnnggggggg timeeeeeee.

That week was one of my bloodiest, my spirit left me.

I had to double up like mad, met him the next 2 months, did some finishing touches, and the same man looked at me and said where was your brain all along?

That project ended up been published in one of the International Journals and others followed ...... So don't despair, when they hit you, ginger yourself... And give it your 100%.

I understand the need to give God praises and be modest in our achievements. The truth is that this does more harm than good.

A lazy fellow somewhere after reading your post instead of him/her to double down and put the required effort they will double down on prayer and spend whatever extra time required for study on prayer.Since God did it for fergie001 he will do it for me.

Prayer is important but as a student you have to put in the effort.

So if the project is rubbish it should be accrpted just because you drink garri to do it, Maybe next time you should drink monkey urine then perharps your project would not be rubbish.

Project are meant to put you through every knowledge you've Garnered over the course duration.
During my undergrad days, my project was rejected like a baby changing diapers. I got tired, depressed, I took the man name to church gan sef, the Prof did not even sit before the project topic got rejected.
Then finally approved, I was in the middle, covid came, I spent 8 month working and writing the approved topic only for me to resume after the pandemic, then my research supervisor said the topic is outdated. I fainted 60 times in 60 seconds.
Summary is never give up, build your research abilities, data evaluation and update your inquisitive skillet. Best of luck!

A project topic is something your supervisor should aid you in picking. The concept of rejecting a project topic after the work is almost done is strange to academics.
It is the evil and wickedness inherent in the Nigerian system

Exactly my point.Project supervisors in higher institutions are still doing chapter by chapter review.You can't bring the next chapter without the present chapter reviewed, approved, corrections given and made.
