What are you saying na? Why are you reading the constitution in isolation.

NJC is acting within the powers derived from the Section b in your attachment.
Did you read the screenshot well?

Do you understand English?
Read a very well

It is obvious you are the one that needs to brush up your grammatical skills. Even this your comment and the former shows you need to improve your writing skills.

Kukutente23:

Wait. I don't get. But the constitution empowers the SHoA to recommend suspension of a state judge na abi what is this

Fergie001

If NJC is acting above the law, who then will respect the judgement coming from their courts?
Same NJC was mute when a sitting CJN was suspended

Read what you posted again. Read your attachment.

There you have answers.

The constitution that empowers 2/3rd of the State House of Assembly equally empowers the NJC to make recommendation for removal.

What you posted clearly stated that the NJC can recommend the removal of a Judge to the governor. So what are you confused about? Why are you saying the NJC is actiing above the law??

You're simply confused
Go and read the body of the Op
NJC says they are the one with powers to discipline judges while it's clear from section a that State assemblies can recommend such to the gov.
That's the premise I'm asking why they are flouting a clear provision of the constitution while a president unilaterally suspended a CJ which he has no right to and they kept mute then.

You are obviously confused.

The NJC has disciplinary powers over judicial officers. It is enshrined in the constitution. So what are you yapping about?? Are you insinuating you did not read and understand the attachment you posted by yourself?

The constitution has equally vested similar powers on the National Assembly over Federal Judicial Officers and the State House of Assembly over State Judicial Officers. This does not in any way remove or limit the power of the NJC.

In the exercise of these powers, both the Legislature and the NJC, are still required to send their recommendation to the President or Governor as the case may be.

NJC spot-on!

"The NJC said the Osun State judge erred by entertaining proceedings for enforcement of a judgement purportedly from a Kwara State court “when there was no evidence of a judgement of the Kwara State High Court before him, neither was there a Certificate of Registration of same in Osun State to confer jurisdiction on him.”

Mr Falola was also found wanting for conspiring with some lawyers and court officials to execute a garnishee order without appropriate recourse to the law.

PREMIUM TIMES exclusively broke the story in an extensive report in November 2019, detailing how Mr Falola prostrated before a lawyer who represented Polaris Bank in the suit; seeking pardon."
Most unfortunate turn of events for His Lordship. 🧐Polaris Bank pressing further for the n16m.

NJC Tueh Tueh na so so Southern Justice them they get power over .

The brazen Northern Justice with Daylight perverse judgement with credible and overwhelming evidence of bribery are going scot-free.

God Save NJC and Nigeria
Get better educated on this matter. You should soon discover that a Judge of Northern origin was recently sacked by the NJC and specifically recommended to be handed over to the Police for Prosecution. Northerners are also creatures of God and should not be looked down upon or denigrated simply because they are Northerners. Truth is, Northerners are smart and extremely good administrators. Very straightforward, simple and honest folks. The downside is the tendency for violence that could cost you your life unannounced largely propelled by an ideology a large number of them subscribe to.
