Listen guys!

Nobody lost or will lose a seat in Rivers. The governor doesn't have weight for the crisis and he doesn't have capacity for crisis fermentation. He just being urged by some people whom Nyesom Wike roundly defeated while in office to tread on a path that leads nowhere.

Mark my words!
The governor will win the supreme court case and still be a lame duck. He can not do much to Wike except Wike is ousted from the federal govt.
You do not want to mess with Nyesom Wicked I mean Wike.

The only way the governor can put Wike in check, is for him and his team to scheme up a disagreement between Wike and Tinubu. That's the only way anything short of this is effort in futility my people.

Bro it is in the jurisdiction of the party (PDP) to declare their seats vacant not even the 5 members cos they won the seats under PDP so PDP own the seats try to understand it this way not just that, the law has it backed up too.

You are the daft one though. The law says once you are elected under a party and you defect to another political party, you must resign from your elected position. The supreme Court has previously ruled that political parties, not individuals, are elected into political office. If not that we are in a lawless country, the defected house of assembly members know the right thing to do.

If they are so popular, they can contest for election again under APC. But they can't continue as house of assembly members of Rivers State since they have defected.

At this point it doesn't really matter whether their seats were declared vacant by some suspended member, the constitution is sacrosanct and the sections subsists whether anyone declared the seats vacant or not.

Neither party wants them, so right now they're in political limbo.

Sim will use the constitution angle to say his hands are tied, and they can't be reinstated without another election. Tinubu will wash his hands off this matter, as it doesn't benefit him in any way.

You think federal appointments are that easy? Wike himself is a federal appointee, so where does he want to find 26 appointments from?

Most he can do is to make them SAs or get something for them in FCT.
