The police should not waste time in arresting them if they are sighted anywhere near the state assembly complex. These group of bad losers simply want to cause a serious breakdown of law and order in the state. You lost at the highest court for legislative electoral matter and so be it. David Lyon did not bring down Bayelsa when his victory was gifted to Duoye Diri. They should stop constituting nuisance in the state or get arrested immediately. The crass lawlessness on display by the former lawmakers must be stopped immediately.

Court of Appeal has no authority to go against supreme Court precedence or judgment. The Supreme Court has said severally before the Appeal Court judgment that it's only the part members that can seek redress on party membership and not another party. It is pertinent to note that the Supreme Court should assume jurisdiction and the judgment should be nullified.

They cannot appeal. The decision of the Court of Appeal is final with respect to such matters.
Yes, u are correct. It's case closed for them, No remedy.

Did you just typed rhat nonsense. Their case never went b4 the supreme court and here you talking like an uneducated fellow. They can't appeal the case. They should go and wait for another election. It's just like saying because a judge convict someone of murder and for that fact another person commit murder and you said that person who never went through Court is already a convict and he should go ro jail. Common

They just want chaos in their own State. Do they now want to rewrite the constitution to favour them? While it is unfortunate that there was a miscarriage of justice on the issue, the Nigerian constitution clearly dictates that all legislative cases end at the Appeal Court, this is an invitation to anarchy in the State. If available, they should explore other judicial means to retrieve their mandates, otherwise, they should sheath their sword, because the other party who won at the Supreme Court won't fold their arms. Last last, nah ordinary people go suffer am.
Our judiciary and those corrupt judges will just be turning the constitution upside down just because they want to favour APC candidate.

It doesn't work that way. In this case, Supreme Court no get locus standi to even look into the issue. Appeal Court is the final destination and they've given a verdict. Whether wrong or right, it stands. There's nothing that can make those lawmakers to return back

I wonder if it's even possible for the appeal court to review that judgment?

I am not sure, but it is a legal anomaly that needs to be remedied one way or the other.

Hahaha ha, you this man. 😅

Well, we all know how 2nd term Governors go cr*zy, likewise, we are all aware the Central will throw a whole lot of tantrum. It is also historically known fact of how the East and the Central uses the West to play ping pong. The only difference this time is that, Yayi is now very strong on ground and SEEM to have Presidential backing, but still, all power belong to God, He gives whomsoever He pleases. 31/2 years is a lot of time politically. So my brother 🤞

The reason for their removal by the Appeal Court was squashed at the Supreme Court during the appeal instituted by the governor of Plateau State. In fact, the Supreme Court justices reprimanded the appeals court justices.

The Court of Appeals justices that gave that judgement should all be retired without benefits immediately, the time has come for NJC to start punishing justices like this. They can't be allowed to continue like this they should be punished.

For the lawmakers I pity them there's nothing that can be done, they should wait until 2027 and re contest again.

APC and fraudulent court judgments are like identical twins in Nigeria. Muftwang will have to cut soap for his fellow PDP members on how he was able to obtain justice when the rest of them could not.

Thank God there are still some Supreme Court Justices with conscience.

So true
