1.We need more farmers in the fields,your backyard,your fallow land and bushy place you have access to.

2.The big cities need to be decongested,Nigerians need to be redistributed.

3.Govt needs to provide more loans,irrigations,equipments and susidies to farmers.

4.Improve security in the Country and farm settlements.

5.All Nigerians need to embrace subsistence farming.

6.Cattle ranch is a must to prevent conflict between herders and farmers.

7.Know that God is not a labourer to give you free food and reduce price when you have fertile land like ours.

8.Remember the law of demand and supply in your Economics class in your secondary school days.

9.Remember that if food is cheap in the North,it only possible because most Northerners farm even those with white-collar jobs.

3,4 & 6 are the real solutions. Security of lives if farmers is key to food security in this country. Another solution is that there should a national soil classification. Knowing areas of arable land and controlling the activities of real estate companies buying those lands and developing them. All arable lands must have agriculture survey plan on them and never for residential except for farmsteads.
