The marriage is more important than the wedding, so irrespective of how much you end up spending for the celebrations, make sure you have enough to take care of the home after.

Even 100m isn't enough too. Everything depends on the individuals involved. Some marry with less than 200k, the most important thing is the marriage not wedding.
All in all, cut your coat according to your cloth.

In this wicked economy, N1m will only be enough if you want to wear simple shirt and trouser/ simple dress as wedding gown, have no wedding reception, cut small cake, and only give out homemade Zobo drink and biscuits/ puff-puff to the guests

All these are unnecessary, simple parlor wedding wouldn't require all that.

If it’s strictly wedding devoid of ego, less than 50k will run it comfortably (I assumed you’ve bought the bride already from her family).

The most important things in getting married are:
1. Getting parental consent (including paying bride Price)
2. Registering your marriage at a government approved registry.
Every other thing na jara.
So with your #1m and an understanding bride, you are very good to go. No go stress yourself.

All these aren't necessary.

Just pay someone to cook the food and package in take away plastics, then put in a plastic bag. The bag would contain malt, bottle water, small chops, a smaller Plastic plat of salad and moi moi.

1m can cook you over 50 plates of this kind of food, and you'll still have some reasonable amount of money left. If you negotiate well with a good caterer. You can even tell her to make rice and swallow so that guests can choose their preference.

The plastic bags containing the food would shared right there in the church after the white wedding. Everyone would just collect their bags, take pictures with the couple and go home. You've avoided paying for hall, MC, decorations, DJ...etc.

It's enough. You don't need to make it elaborate.do take away pack food and plastic drinks. People will appreciate it in this hard economy. Don't try to impress anyone because they won't send you after marriage.

Share the food right there in the church, take pictures with your cake and go home with your spouse. No need for halls and decorations.

Change go remain self.

Why do wedding?

Just marry your wife in peace and invest that money in your home. But invite family members and very close friends and do something like a dinner.

You don't have money. Don't follow the crowd by doing wedding. It's the marriage that is important not feeding people.
