Dangote refinery was designed to refine different crude aside Nigeria's
This is not true, the refinery was initially designed specifically for refining Nigerian crude, it will have to be modified to process crude from other sources.

If Nigeria's crude oil has been pre-sold, doesn't Nigerians deserve to know the value of that sale and what was done with the money? Or maybe we don't

Imported cement is cheaper than Nigerian cement, same thing with rice, poultry, fish e.t.c

Don't shift the goal post. Your earlier comment suggested you had a grasp of the subject matter, let's focus on that.

what is the difference between NNPL and the federal government
NNPCL is solely owned by northerners while federal government is owned by both northerners and southerners!

You wrote absolute trash laced with unnecessary insults.
Crude oil is a foreign currency earner and the standard practice is payment in dollars.
It is incredible for you to believe that sourcing for crude from the US will be cheaper than from Nigeria. Where's your economic sense ?
Stop writing stuff and nonsense out of sheer hatred.
Stop thinking through your anus, use your brain rather than emotion to look at issues.
Reno is more in the know than armchair critics like you.

Oil and gas businesses in Nigeria are done in USD. His assertions are baseless, myopic and a figment of his imagination.

Who made it a foreign exchange earner the USA. we can change that selfish ideology. Business within the territorial boundaries of the country should be exchanged with the country's currency.

My answer is obviously yes hence the examples I provided.
If imported cement is cheaper than our locally produced cement what makes you think imported crude oil won't be cheaper for Dangote than local crude?

I hope you're not suggesting that you believe every imported item should inevitably be more expensive than its locally-produced equivalent

wrong, Dangote refinery was designed to refine crude from around the world because nigeria cannot sustain the supply chain due to a lot of factors of which some is at play now

Dangote knew this,so,he can source for crude anywhere in the world

Economic analysis are not based on assumptions. Since you have no facts or data to prove your previous comment, I rest my case here. Ciao

I laughed very hard when Reno the dumbo posted that the reason Dangote is getting Crude oil outside the shores of Nigeria for his refinery in Lagos was because Nigeria's crude oil have already been contracted far into the future. And we have a quota from OPEC.... grin grin
As usual, many fell for his senseless, baseless and nonsensical assertions without bothering to verify or ask critical questions like.
How will a refinery that was conceptualized, designed and built to refine Nigerian crude oil not have adequate provisions for Nigerian crude oil supply?

Well, the real gist and the crux of the matter is that the federal government refused to accept naira payments for crude oil sales to Dangote refinery, insisting that Dangote pay only in dollars. Despite Dangote's reservations about the government's motive for requesting foreign currency in a domestic transaction where naira should be the only legal tender , the federal government remained adamant, demanding payment solely in dollars.
Also, the federal government mandated that Dangote Refinery cover the freight costs for vessels selected by government cronies, equivalent to the rates charged by overseas vessels, along with port charges and landing costs—all payable in dollars.

After crunching the numbers , the management of Dangote Refinery concluded that sourcing crude oil from outside Nigeria from far away USA would result in lower costs. Thus, they decided to abandon the Nigerian crude, leaving it for Tinubu and his cronies to drink. grin grin grin

Modified: Importing many items proves more cost-effective than sourcing them locally. Examples include cement, rice, poultry, fish, and more....

I will write about rice one day, how FG in collusion with "local rice farmers" took a bag from 7k to 70k. angry angry

Another view...

The Dangote refinery boss did not disclose the other entities receiving the oil company’s crude but NNPC disclosed last month it had entered into a $3bn crude oil-for-loan deal with African Export-Import Bank. The deal allowed the company to pledge future oil production to the bank as repayments for the loan.

Also, NNPC sources told The PUNCH on Tuesday the company had entered into crude oil contracts with a number of entities, a development that made it impossible for the organisation to meet Dangote’s need earlier.

Between this bullshit you wrote and the earlier one posited by Omokri which one do you think sounds more plausible?

I still do not understand how a person can put out so much trash and misinformation in public with so much confidence!

Myopic and shallow-minded will expect everything in this country to always make sense and to have a logical explanation, yet events here
persistently defy logic everytime, yet their narrow mindset remains fixated on the illusion that everything should be plausible.

Think man! Think!angry sad angry
