The conceptualizers of this transformational project are:

Barth Nnaji
Ngozi Okonjo Iweala

History will forever be kind to them.

Una don come again.

Federalism at work. Igbo Amaka! Not to my knowledge this sort of initiative exists anywhere else in Nigeria. Aba economy is set for a soar away lift. Sanwo Olu should be looking at something of this sort for Lagos on a greater scale.

It's a very commendable project. But please don't link Oti, Obi or even LP to the project. This project was conceptualized under OBJ/Ngozi Okonjo Iweala but saw lots of set backs occasioned by bureaucratic bottle necks. However, the project saw the light of the day under PMB' s led APC government. And Tinubu completed it. FACTS...

You have started talking rubbish how did Tinubu complete a project done by a company a private company ooooo. Otti as Diamond Bank CEO provided the first external funding for the project.

As a dubious governor he has achieved this great feat in such a short time.

Oya, show us such an achievement by your own state governor or government after several year. If you cannot, then we may call you a complete muntula.

He never claimed it as governor.
Alex has been involved in this project long before governorship.
He was the CEO of diamond bank when the bank invested millions of dollars in the project, that was the first external funding the plant ever had.
So, it's not even just political for him, it's both financial and economic as well as personal.
He has been following the project ever since then.
As a governor, he helped solve the logistic issues holding the project plus currently building a road leading to it
It takes to be informed and of a sound intellect to make a comment of this kind on this matter! Kudos! Folks who speak differently are either ill informed or intellectually dishonest.

[quote author=Massiveglory post=128647075]When light comes into a state or country, the difference is clear.

Alex otti of Lp has delivered abia state from over 20 years darkness in the name of goverance.

Many thanks to Madam okonji Iwela for her tremendous input.

This should be emulated all over for industrial growth to help Nigeria move from consumption to production.
You know that there is a bigger one in Maiduguri made constructed by NNPC. Generation is 50MW and have started operations

Aba people should pay their power bills because electricity is not cheap. Most of us clamour for 24/7 power supply but we don't even know that we cannot afford it.

Geometric should supply its own meter and have a system for tracking power supply and bills because you cannot stop a Nigerian from bypassing their meter, especially when power supply is steady. If you refuse to pay your power bill, you will run Geometric out of business.

BTW, other states with gas should also emulate Geometric Energy. We should gradually end this national grid nonsense. Every state should start generating, transmitting and distributing power.

Congratulations to them!
There are IPPs littered all over Nigeria. The problem is not often generating but distribution.

that is also good news , massive industrial production will help solve some of the problems Nigeria is encountering today.

We will pay boss, relax.

I know how much I am paying monthly for steady power supply. I always make to set the money aside before anything else each month
