Akwa Ibom State, under the stewardship of Governor Umo Eno, has reaffirmed its commitment to the realization of the Ibom Deep Seaport project.

The first step in the right direction taken by the governor towards unlocking unprecedented economic potential of the Ibom Deep Seaport has began with the provision of a new, befitting office space at the 21-storey Dakadda Towers for the Technical Committee overseeing the project's implementation.

With this move, Governor Eno signals a renewed commitment and focus on harnessing the transformative power of maritime infrastructure for the state's development.

Positioned as a gateway to West and Central Africa, the Ibom Deep Seaport will project Akwa Ibom's potential to emerge as a pivotal regional trade hub. By facilitating seamless connectivity and trade flows, the port will catalyze economic activity not only within Akwa Ibom but across sub-Saharan Africa.

Akwa Ibom State, blessed with abundant natural resources and a strategic coastal location, stands poised to diversify its economy beyond oil dependency. The Ibom Deep Seaport represents a strategic pivot towards unlocking new avenues for economic growth and job creation.

The construction and operation of the Ibom Deep Seaport will necessitate extensive infrastructure development, ranging from road networks to logistical facilities. This presents a unique opportunity for Akwa Ibom to modernize its infrastructure and enhance connectivity both domestically and internationally.

The Ibom Deep Seaport project is poised to generate a multitude of direct and indirect employment opportunities across various sectors, from maritime operations to ancillary services. This influx of employment will not only boost household incomes but also foster skill development and capacity building within the local workforce.

Governor Pastor Umo Eno's proactive approach to revitalizing efforts towards Ibom Deep Seaport actualization underscores his commitment to driving sustainable development in Akwa Ibom State.

By providing the Technical Committee with a state-of-the-art office space, Governor Umo Eno demonstrates his resolve to equip stakeholders with the necessary resources for success.

As Akwa Ibom charts a course towards a future defined by prosperity and progress, the Ibom Deep Seaport emerges as a linchpin of its strategic vision.

With Governor Umo Eno's visionary leadership and the collective dedication of stakeholders, the realization of this transformative project will usher in a new era of economic vitality and opportunity for the people of Akwa Ibom.

May the ARISE agenda succeed!

Lagos state ports will face little decongestion.

All these talk that a large part of the cargo cleared in Lagos is headed to the East is exaggerated.
