Interpol Systems Consultant and security expert, Sir Chikwe Udensi has urged the armed forces to put up an adequate response to the escalating cases of kidnap especially in the northern region and ensure the rescue of all those held hostage.

Udensi said time has come for the service chiefs to step out of their heavily air-conditioned offices and relocate to the forest and flush out bandits causing tension in the country.

Speaking at a keynote address at a conference of Certified Security Experts of Nigeria in Abuja, Udensi said the constant meeting of President Bola Tinubu and the security chiefs in air-conditioned offices in Abuja have not been productive, insisting that they must roll up their sleeves and work for the peace and stability of the nation.

He said, "The kidnapping cases are too numerous. Look at the 13-year-old girl kidnapped from Sagwari estate in Dutse Abuja, look at the youth corps members going from Akwa Ibom to Sokoto, they have not been found, look at the family of eight kidnapped from their home in Gwarimpa, they have not been found.

"Look at the 287 students kidnapped from their school in Kaduna, they have not still be found, and they are sitting in the comfort of their air-conditioned offices doing nothing. They should relocate to the forests and flush out these criminals so that we can have peace in our country"
, he noted.

Udensi said about 95% of kidnap victims are kept in the forests, challenging the military to go after them and rescue all hostages, noting that the forests are not invincible.

It's important to clean out the saboteurs in the system first. They are in all armed. And bandits are not ghosts. When they are genuinely ready our military have all it takes to crush them.
They should stop toiling with the lives of Nigerians They must go all out after them. Enough is enough insecurity is dragging the nation backwards.

I love his brazen vocality. If there were more people like this in Nigeria, all the sleepy head security agents and politicians will sit up.

While not saying the security operatives sitting back is okay, I believe they must be considering the safety of the victims.
The most important thing is the safety of the victims, whichever method that'll be applied, negotiation or aggressive attack, whichever will bring the victims back safely is okay.

Is it not amazing.that they find IPOB members wherever they are.

Yet Fulani Herdsmen can move around in large numbers and kidnap 100s.

Yet nobody knows where they are, how they move such a large group.

Let's face facts the North is behind this kidnapping.

Had the kidnappers been igbos, they won't even leave the venue alive angry

I mean how do you even hide almost 3 hundred victims anywhere? That's without including the probably hundreds of bandits. They'd obviously camp somewhere with access and support systems for food, fuel, ammo, drugs, etc.

And these armchair generals spend billions of dollars on aerial assets with infrared sensors.

Bandits = FG = Politicians = Army

You are telling same people that kidnapped the children to fight themselves to release them?

Infact it amaze one the fact that they mention thick forest in the northern states, apart from the river basins we can see expanse of land miles long , semi savanna, sub arid .
Why can't the law enforcement mobilize in their hundreds and thousands encircle the area the bandits \ abductors will be frightened, helicopters hovering over them , will scare them to release their abductees . It is sickening to hear that Wike said FCT did not have tracking gadgets let us ask Buratai and co , the immediate past minister of digital communication Isa Pantani .

When the head is rotten
forget about the rest of the body
Buhari and Tinubu are cut from the same cloth

I dare you to name this bandits Ipob and place this incidence in the East and see Army/DSS etc swing into action..

Tinubu is incompetent and he wouldn't do anything that will "piss" off the North..

It’s something Korofo, Odin, Grandpa and JagunJagun would want them to do for humanity.

Let's take a look from this vantage point.

The Nigerian army, and all the security personnel understands the Nigerian territory.

Infact, if they can claim they are protecting the Nigerian territory, which am sure they know and understand, how come they don't know where close to 300 people are kept.

And don't even know how to attack and neutralize them.
