The First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has advised Nigerians to grow their food amid the nationwide food inflation and economic downturn.

According to Mrs Tinubu, the focus on agriculture is the way forward for the country.

In a statement issued by her special assistant on media, Busola Kukoyi, the First Lady said this at the State house while receiving the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed.

The First Lady noted that the various interventions of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) especially in the areas of Agriculture, Empowerment, Education, Health and Social Welfare are to complement the efforts of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

“The President has made the right decisions. These decisions will help us build a Nigeria that is more respected. We should be more accountable as a people as regards our resources,” she said.

“We have to inspire them [Youths] to think Nigeria first before any State.

“Youth between 15 years to 25 years will design the fabric depicting Nigeria and not just their State or tribe. The prize money is huge.”

In her remarks during her visit, Mohammed explained that the UN is looking forward to the country committing more funds to Youth, Women and Girls.

She said: “We need your voice for what the UN is doing with women empowerment, girls, poverty alleviation, education and the rest.”

Madam show us your own farm.

Even your son that doesn't have a well known business aside Lagos coffers should also show us his own farm.

Your husband that forfeited USD 460k to Federal agents should show us his own farm.

Confused family

Commonsensical way to go but.... .....who wants to dare the owners of Nigeria? See how army bypassed them and headed for Okuama to retaliate? Just few days ago, there was news of herdsmen killing about a dozen police officers in that same Delta state not too far from Ughelli South.
Six Bodies of Slained Officers Recovered

the most irritating aspect of it, is that this government keep ignoring the hallowing experiences of the vulnerable farmers in their various farmlands in the hands of Fulani -herdsmen terrorists , behaving as if all is well, telling Nigerians to go to farms where their lives are not safe, without addressing the security problems on ground.

Truth is bitter I find myself agreeing with what she is saying. I am the son of a farmer. My father use the waste from our lives stocks as manures for the crops and the waste of the crops feed the animals. How those brainless Fulani don't partner with farmers I don't understand common agricultural process.

A nation with 13 million farmers according to CBN anchor projects still needs people to grow their food. What then are 13 million farmers farming. The Netherlands with a farmers population smaller than Nigeria exported $120 billion agric products in 2022 but 13 million farmers cannot feed a nation talkless of export

Mumu talk

Grow your own food when farmers crops are being destroyed in a daily by Fulani herdsmen and nothing is done about it

Farmers are being killed, kidnapped and chased away from their farmland and homelands by terrorists and bandits and this is all you have to say, mrs First Lady

With which money? Even feeding these days is a big deal talk more of farming. Ask your husband to give Nigerians what belongs to them, Simple. Don't also forget to farm. In addition, ask your husband and your children to grow their own food
