Ex-governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi decided to fire back at the legal luminary, Afe Babalola (SAN), after he made a comment about the past governors of Ekiti State.

TopNaija gathered that Afe Babalola, on Monday, stated that former governors of Ekiti were no longer following the visions that had been laid down for the State, by its creators. He claimed that these ex-governors failed to establish a robust structure for its advancement.

His statement, though not mentioning past leaders in particular by their name, the critique struck a cord on the former Ekiti State governor, Fayemi.

In response to Babalola's statement, during an interview with ThisDay, the politician accused Babalola of having a “narcissistic personality disorder.” This means a diagnosis of not being able to acknowledge the positive contributions of others.

Fayemi defended his tenure, arguing that the legal luminary assessment was biased and it was obvious that he overlooked the achievements of his administration.

According to him, the 94-year-old lawyer has consistently been unsupportive of his political endeavors, hinting at a long-standing partisan rift between them.

I remember when Fayemi was the Governor, Afe Babalola used to commend and praise now he is saying otherwise.
