Soldiers killed at Okuama Community to be buried on Wednesday at the Military Cemetery in Abuja.

The Burial Ceremony of Nigerian Army Personnel killed-in-action at Okuama Community, Delta State has now been scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at National Cemetary, Abuja.

The burial is billed to hold by 3:00pm.

The President, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would be the Special Guest of Honour at the event, a source who prefers anonymity said.

The killings have been condemned by many stakeholders with President Bola Tinubu vowing that the perpetrators will not go unpunished.

The Guardian had reported how soldiers, including four officers, were killed in Okuama community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Military authorities earlier said they were killed while on a mission to maintain peace between two warring communities: Okuama and Okoloba.

Previous statements by military authorities indicated that 16 soldiers were killed but the army released the names and pictures of 17 slain soldiers.

If to say na the other part of the country that the soldiers were killed, you'll never hear the fanfare about their killing beyond that day, about military retaliation and fishing out the perpetrators.

Truth is, Nigeria is a country operating two system.

Okay , rest on soldiers but the names though, they would've stay in the North to solve their regional problem than coming to old eastern Nigeria.

When are they going to bury innocent civilians killed on their God's giving land.

I’m still in shock that our military have been turned to common chicken, that anyone can just killed 12 of them at the same time.

Just last week, Yobe barrack was attacked as inside Nigeria oooh.
If our security forces are getting killed anyhow, then what’s the faith of an average civilian.

Our own military men are now working like a security guard for anyone with money.
Yahoo boys now use military men as bodyguards.

RIP

Fixed
No one has explained how 17 soldiers were killed without a single casualty on the side of the civilians.
