You are confused. the position is that Palestine was annexed and governed by many powers including the Arabs. none of the powers ever took the real owners of the land seriously till now. Prior to Spain being a Christian state what was it's original state?! The whole of Europe wasnt original Christian and of course wasn't Islamic too. There were various traditional rites and religion prior.
