You should be jailed if minister is the person that land document n not the director like you claimed.

DonFreshmoney:
The question is was the paper of Ukachukwu genuine or not.. Ministers don't approve or sign off land in Abuja, it's the work of the Director of lands, survey and urban planning in FCTA.

If the paper is genuine, why demolishing his property?? Your eye dey the land Wike not because there was no Minister.
mandax post=129244699:
Reacting to the allegation in a press briefing, Wike said the land allocated to Ukachukwu did not have the approval of any minister as his predecessor.

----Wike.
This must be a lie from the pit of hell. Without ministerial consent, nobody would go to acquire such massive land in Abuja and start developing on it. Let's find out if the developer has any ties to APC losing in Abuja last presidential election.

Wike, you erred to have demolished the Igbo man's estate. I put it to you that you did it because you hate Igbos.

Let's get to the meat of the matter, there was no minister by the time the man had his papers approved, but there were directors and the directors approved the deal. You should respect that.

It happens everywhere, government business cannot stop because the FG hasn't appointed ministers yet. There is no laws that says government approvals of anything must wait till a particular official shows up, there's always a stop gap in every office.
please go and allocate the land back to the Igbo man... I beg you in the name of Jesus Christ

Do you know how many people are denied from doing business in Nigeria irrespective of tribe? Did Onyema mentioned that he was denied because of his tribe? When will you Igbos stop this victim mentality? Do you people think claiming victim mentality will give you presidency?
Meanwhile it will not be well with you! The curse you place on people goes back to you.

The Igbos like to cry ethnic victimisation to have their way, even when they are caught committing crime or trafficking drugs, they use the same tactics.
Igbos and ethnic victimisation and inferiority complex are like siamese twins.

I have been living in Abuja for over 20 years and I have lands and properties in the state. Director of Lands signature is on all C of Os, R of Os or other land documents and not the minister. However, a minister can make a policy that all lands above a certain quantity or hectares has to have ministerial approval. That doesn't mean that is the norm. By law, top civil servants in directorate level in the FCTA or AMAC has the right to sign off on lands if it's genuine.

214 hectres of land.....to a single entity, when there was no Minister in charge during the transition period in May 2023

My people! my people!!

A company got approval in May 2023 and cashing out commenced in earnest.

In the video interview I watched, Wike said the land was even for mass housing construction not single residential homes for rich people. These guys (land grabbers) got the land and started dividing and selling it to highest bidders in individuals plots.. violating the rules on what types of buildings can be on those lands.

We are so sentimental in Nigeria, that is why we will never move forward, since anything you do, they will always read religious, tribal or nepotic reasons behind it. The work of the Director or permanent secretary are clearly spelt out, making policies and recommendations. not approving lands in the absence of a minister.

It's people like you and your ilks that make Nigeria a zoo. You don't want to follow the law of the land, always looking for a shortcut and bribing people, fraud and dealing in drugs are your trait.

The Minister explained what happened that the allocation in FCT can only be approved by a Minister, your people waited for the expiration of the previous regime and within few weeks got a land allocation in Abuja contrary to the procedure and land statute of FCT.

Yet, you are wailing and crying a bucket, such is the trait of the people from the land of rising wailers.

Had it been the land belong to Dangote, Wike would have address a press conference thanking Dangote for investing in property development in Abuja. He'll even promise to regularize the papers and make available government intervention to allow development kick off in earnest. He will guarantee government collaboration and promise more lands if need be for further acquisition.

For The foolish victim and his relative playing ethnic card, what tribe is the minister? The foolishness of this demolition approach knows no bounds walahi.
This is the balanced approach to take! We just like riding on the anyhowness of Nigeria on both sides! Oga minister blood dey hot, land owner na ethnic jingoist!

Yeah. I watched a video of 2 Ibo men selling drugs jump into a lagoon in Bangkok as they were fleeing from the police. They did not know the lagoon was deep and could swim. They started struggling the the Thai police were just looking, one of the struggling guy now started screaming that the Thai police wont rescue them because they are black. grin

Demolitions are going on in Anambra and Abia but obviously its all good but the moment it is outside the SE, all of a sudden you remember where yoy come from!

If EFCC had invaded an Igbo man's business the way they did Dangote office you and your ilks will have littered this platform with your victim mentality but we witnessed how you all celebrated the invasion.

See like Wike said he will do what he will and nothing will happen! Ukachukwu should go to courts and enforce his rights if he has one and stop the path he is taking!

A Minister was in place just last May and left on 29th without approving a whopping 214 hectares of land all through his stay in office, and then all of a sudden within weeks of leaving office, June, a Director of Lands have approved 214hcts of land? Hmm monkey hand no resemble person hand here? Again, Wike said, they met and agreed that NO BODY SHOULD DO ANYTHING ON THE LAND UNTIL A FINAL DECISION IS MADE, but they smartly went and started Selling the Lands to unsuspecting public. Why the hurry when pending issues are yet to be settled?
The director is a crook.

Wike no gree for anybody.

This nonsense should not continue. In FCDA Lands, approval are still being given or signed by retired Directors depending on the year they claim the land was purchased.

If you buy the Land in 2001, they'll take it to the retired Director at home for his signature. I don't want to mention names.

Wike no gree for anybody o.

Thank you. The reason that man is using the tribal victim card is because he knew he has erred in the side of law.

A major tribe would be behaving like an extremely minority tribe. The minority tribes in Nigeria don't even play that victim nonsense. It's always them.

Now they are telling us a man from a minority tribe is victimizing a man from a majority tribe grin

Land grabbing and speculation is not investment for Abuja. He also addressed that in the interview. He gave an example of several investment and one that he commissioned that same week that's creating thousands of job.

Yes. Only the minister of FCT is permitted by law to do that same way a director of lands in a state is not qualified to issue you a C of O except the governor.
