Okay okay

Why does this country continue to pay foreign companies for construction projects in Nigeria
Am I missing something?
Are the engineering students or graduates in Nigeria not capable to do these constructions from start to finish
In 2024!!! 😶

My only question to you is, how many building your engineering student don build for your school ( examples are security house, or a toilet, or run a drainage system as practical )?.. even the same university they graduated from can‘t defend their graduates to deliver quality. Ordinary drainage system for school, na expert dey run am. Una never ready to wake for this country…

Stop hyping your Agulu fraudster and fake messiah. Obingo is a serial party defector and failure in all ramifications.
See the remarks and comments from indigenes and residents of Anambra State during your Agulu fraudster and fake messiah 8years disastrous rule as a governor of Anambra State.

[Good one quote author=CapitalLens post=129285266]FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike on Friday, April 5th, undertook a tour of the Abuja Rail Mass Transit scheme also known as the Abuja Metro line, and rode on the train from the city center to the Abuja Airport.

The Minister expressed his satisfaction with the quality of work and commended the contractor while revealing that the project was one of those scheduled to be commissioned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in May[/quote]

Building a railway hub at Abuja Airport is misplacement of priority by previous Govts, why not build it at Gwagwalada or Abaji, how many passengers will disembark from an international flight and wait one hour for a train to take them to city centre when he can pay N7000 to registered taxi operators or Uber.
Meanwhile thousands of workers, traders and students commute daily from Abaji and Gwagwalada to the city and there is no railway terminus for them, the airport railway shouldn't have come first before the masses.

Wike has done well for ensuring that its completed despite the above points

You too dey complain. Haba!

what can you do except type on nairaland?
Tell me!
Can you design the tunnel ventilations system that uses thermodynamics?

Do you know the normal , emergency and master operations of trains?

So you know how the dampers and louvres are regulated with the PLC for each shaft, station?

Let’s talk about the mechanical, electrical and etc.

So Mr. Graduate, what would you do except insult people on nairaland and make noise about your tribe.

We assume too much on this platform.

What gives you the impression that the guy you quoted is worth half of what you think he is?

Not every idiot that comments on Nairaland is a graduate much less an engineer.

😶

The amount of technology and expertise required to carry out such projects isn't something you obtain from studying an engineering degree.

Nigeria's rail sector has been comatose for decades, so where do you expect the graduates to get the requisite experience from? It doesn't work that way bro.

Your concerns are valid.

However, please note the following:
Awarded in 2007, the project is divided into Six (6) Lots and with total length of 290 kilometres, comprising:

Lot 1A & 3 with a total length of 45.3 kilometres which starts at ldu lndustrial Zone via Gwagwa-Dei Dei and terminates at Gbazango Station in Kubwa (18km).

Lot 2 is from Gwagwa via Transportation Centre (Metro Station) to Nyanya/Karu

Lot 3 is from Transportation Centre via ldu lndustrial Zone to Nnamdi Azikiwe international Airport.

Lot 4 is from Kuje Satellite town to Karshi Satellite town with the remaining legs of the Transit way line 2

Lot 5 is from Kubwa via Bwari to Suleja

Lot 6 from Airport via Kuje and Gwagwalada to Dobi

Phase 1 of the Abuja Light Rail consisting of Lot 1A & 3 with a total length of 45.3 kilometres was commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari in July 2018 with three coaches conveying people from the Metro Station in the Central Business District (CBD) to the Nnadi Azikiwe International Airport with a brief stop-over at Idu interchange for passengers going to Kaduna.

Let the ND people pity themselves. Don't cry more than the bereaved.

What have they done with the various agencies created specifically to better their lot? NDDC, Min. Of Nigeria Delta?

Is it the same Niger Delta where an ordinary LG Chairman has a chain of hotels or another one?

Is it the same Niger Delta where successive governors have no other ambition than to be richer than the person they are succeeding?

Wake up.
