I thought fireworks have been outlawed? This people don't want to learn angry. The Government should prosecute whoever stored them in that building.

Lagos Island buildings get as e be. They hardly leave breathing space, so I won't be surprised if fire outbreak goes beyond control.

We're not ready. When we're ready to be a real mega city, we will demolish those slums called buildings on Lagos island.

From a neutral point of view, I know that those buildings would have been demolished long ago if not that they belong to the indigens. Lagos island is a mess.

This is sad.
This hard times now some people will lose their investments/properties because of some silly people who choose to ignore simple safety precautions.
I hope the relevant government agencies make those responsible to pay for their deeds.
One idiot above is already bringing ethnic sentiments into it without knowing the owners of the destroyed buildings or those who lost investments.

It is so disheartening that we keep hearing bad news every blessed day on island, lagos state government needs to do something seriously about the building plan on the island..

Majority of the face me and slap you houses that are Bow being developed by agent are now greedy to the extent that they build on a small pieces of land more than 4 story building with small rooms and no breathing space..

Island keeps looking as if I didn't grow up from there...

The market should be decomjested, more shops have been built around the island, such as the sangros market, but you still see alot of people running to balogun to sell

They need to bring those storing fireworks in that building to book. First, no safety precautions for such combustible item. Second, other people livelihood has been affected by this inferno
