The EFCC had filed a 6 count charge against Bobrisky. The first 4 counts of the charge bordered on abuse of the Naira while the last two counts border on alleged money laundering.

But before the charge was read to the defendant, the EFCC prosecutor, Sulaiman asked the court to strike out counts five and six.

He said, “We have an agreement with the defendant which will lead us to withdraw counts 5 and 6. In the circumstance, we’re humbly urging the court to strike out counts 5 and 6, leaving counts 1 to 4 alive”.

When the registrar asked if he understood the charge that was read to him, he said, ” Yes, I am guilty”.



NOTE THAT for money laundering, punishment is imprisonment for a term of not less than four years but not more than fourteen years or a fine not less than five times the value of the proceeds of the crime or both.

They said they saw N170million so they prefer to collect the 170million or some part of it and drop the money laundering charge. Why do you think politicians have the audacity to steal billions? They can simply do a plea bargain and walk.

According to the charge sheet, Bobrisky was charged with Mutilation of Naira noted from charge 1-4. The 5th charge was money laundering as about 170 million Naira was found in one of his accounts.

When he pleaded guilty, the 5th charge was dropped so this whole thing to me was a plea deal. He takes the first 4 charges and does a little time, loses the money and the 5th charge is dropped.

As you see, these two charges have most likely been dropped and he gets a slap on the wrist.

They couldn't prove any wrong doing as to money laundering and not because he pleaded guilty to abuse of naira.

It seems you don't understand her argument. So many people are guilty of this offense leveled against Bob. We all saw what played out during Obi Cubana's mother burial and so many celebrities who had sprayed this segun Johnson on the stage and none has ever been questioned or interrogated.

millions of Nigerians do (on a weekly basis) exactly what he did and never go near a court, let alone be jailed for that...the only reason that "dude" is in jail right now is because of his desire to wear women's clothing and flaunting his yeye lifestyle on SM.
