Afamed and helinues fighting Peter obi what is your solution or suggestion to this power failure. You see how wide your mouth was about labour party crisis buh I didn't see any of you say anything here. I genuinely think you people are part of the problem we have in this country

You criticise obi for not fixing party problem buh you forgot your president who campaigned about electricity issues can't equally fix a simple problem. If you ain't a hypocrite I can't find any other word to describe you

I 'smell' a strategic game by APC in line with its usual tactics.

Worsen power supply to the extent that Nigerians make it a daily cry.

Then when the rains come and it improves a little below previous levels, boom, minions will roll out the drums on how power has tremendously improved under bat.

If one checks apc's governance history, that's how they operate.

Took dollar from 216 to 1,900, then down to 1,200. Rolls out party drums.

Took PMS from 87 to 600, brings it down to 580, calls it massive reduction.

Caused 50kg of rice to rise from 8k to 80k, then down to 70k, calls it evidence of reduction in cost of living.

See the pattern...

This TCN is just taking us for a ride. So they are telling us that all private GENCo in Nigeria only produced 64MW? How many power generation plants we get for Nigeria? And they are saying that they all collapsed at the same time?
This TCN sha.

What the hell is going on? This is becoming incessant and probably deliberate. The DSS needs to get involved and arrest people on the grounds of sabotage. Since 2am yesterday, I never see light. Exactly as it was said here. We can't continue like this. The Minister for power needs to be queried by the president or fired. Gas company shutting down supply needs to be arrested for contract breach and people need to be sacked or prosecuted at both the TCN and Generating end of power supply. It's becoming too much. Now I have to go and buy fuel so I can wash my clothes, pump water for the house and this wasn't in my plan or budget. angry

Samunique:

Nigeria is a country where people's interests are above national progress, most especially the political and business elites.

Until the government ban the importation of generators and other power generating devices, ( though that's going to be the toughest decision ever ) and declare a state of emergency on the power sector, allow independent both local and foreign investors to build power plants just like Telecommunication sector, Nigeria will never
achieve anything in power sector.

That sector is the most corrupt in Nigeria !

When they build, they destroy it so that more money could pumped there and looted, creating more avenue for the importers of power generating devices to extort and make more money from Nigerians. These are the people sabotaging the power sector, they're the worst cabals, they've never been touched s by any successive government in power at any time, which makes me to believe that it's government sabotaging government in power sector.

Ban importation of generators and other power generating devices and watch the economy go into coma. You think banning those things make sense or it will suddenly increase power supply? They can only be banned after there's enough megawatts for uninterrupted supply in the country. If those things are banned, what power will manufacturing firms and others use to keep operating?

Let regions or states take charge of generating, distributing and guarding their electricity infrastructure.
That's the solution every Nigerian knows, but govt refuses to implement.
National grid is not feasible in a country of diverse nationalities like Nigeria. Those still going for centralised systems for Nigeria are laggards holding others at the jugular in Nigeria.
Nigeria has progressively overcentralized government and distribution of infrastructural projects, but the major achievement is building a concrete jungle that has no electricity and treated running water in Abuja.
