But if the Nigerian government made that same statement, people like you will be up in arms and claim the Nigerian government is evil and authoritarian. Some will even demand that the military should take over.

Arise TV will run programs upon programs over at least 2 weeks bringing a long array of publicity-hungry 'experts' to denounce the government and proclaim we are under the most anti democratic government since 1872.

However, if a foreign government (especially if they have a lighter skin than you) make such statement, you will praise that foreign government as you did in your statement.

Inferiority complex.

If APC tries the same stunt as Dubai, we go blast them

Democracy means people in charge must have heat under their legs.

Back in the 1980's, everyone knew New York as that crime ridden place. EVEN HERE IN NIGERIA, people knew that if you parked your car in some parts of NY, it would be dismantled and sold for scrap before you came back self.

The USA and the people of New York could have blocked the news . Or made it illegal to promote the idea of NY as a crime ridden place. Instead, they used the ballot box to elect Guliiani as Mayor, with a mandate to clean the city. By the time he left office in 2001 after being voted in in 1993, the city was clean. And better, and still better. (Harlem that used to be no-go is now a attraction self.).

Better tell your government to lead us well o.

Not an IPOB fan, but there are a lot of countries that tolerate secessionists groups...some of whom wish evil for their country.

A sign of a healthy democracy is the ability of the government to tolerate peacefully operating secessionists groups. Not violent ones mind.

if we Obidient are from Dubai we will understand with the government because our vote was not stollen, budget not padded, public money not stolen, minimum wage very good and good infrastructure and good security of lives and job so we would not drag the government for one or two failure. But in Nigeria you see your leaders stealing your future blind and still be lying to you

See Emergency lovers of Nigeria. I guess this one promoted the good image of Nigeria. Now they wake up and suddenly love Nigeria and they are ready to call every other person enemy of Nigeria. Smh

Does the country has good image before. Your politicians impoverishing the citizens, stealing billions of taxpayers' money and rigging elections, with massive killings everywhere.

All these are not obtainable in Dubai, okay. They care for their citizens, make their lives better. Good political atmosphere for all. Get that into your skull.

While you that is unashamed still live and depends on white invention.
At least their first attempt they made something out of it, 2nd, 3rd attempt will come with improvement that’s how things are built. Airplanes, cars, technology wasn’t made perfect in first attempt, ask yourself what is your country contributing to mankind, later you and your family will be looking for visa to japa

What exactly are you gaining from the Nigerian government . The Arab govt make there decisions to favour the citizens and country. Can you say the same of the Nigerian government?
Pls when you want to make such comparison always look at the history and performance of the govt.

As of yesterday go and look at the city now, clean and well drained, still better than your country. Ask yourself, if they can successfully do cloud seeding what is drainage system they can’t construct? Be objective and reason with sense

Because the UAE Is a desert country.

The rain that fell there is a once in a lifetime type of rain. It's like Agadez, in NIger republic where rain falls twice every 7 years. You won't invest in a drainage that won't see much use for most of the time.

I betcha rain like that won't fall for decades.

Their cloud seeding backfire. They never expected such kind of rain with the experiment. The last time it rained heavily like that in Dubai was 75years ago ..

Imagine receiving over amount of rainfall they normally get in a whole year within 2 days.

Even if they have proper drainage service, that could only help little but can't avoid the disaster.

They mess with the weather, let them deal with the consequences. I only pity the Dubai citizens

I doubt they did seeding...and as you have said, last time was 75 years ago.

It was a once in a lifetime event. It probably won't happen for another 75 years, if not longer.

Either way, desert cities don't plan for drainages. Why build a drainage when rain no go fall in a long long time?
