Is diesel not a fuel? Besides, reduced diesel price would force down the prices of commodities due to lower production and freight costs.

It won't force down anything.
Nigerians are naturally greedy.
Exploitation of any condition is our specialty.
Even if diesel goes back to N100/L

Diesel is cooked in the bush in Niger Delta and sold for N300. Or even less..The government should look into this and Start selling at N200.

If diesel is so vital in the production process, the government and companies should be aggressively doing the following:

Increase electricity supply to offset diesel powered generating sets. Even at N225/kwh, its still cheaper than using expensive diesel to power your factories

Alternatively companies should migrate to solar where practicable. There are companies that do Solar as a service, where you pay a tariff and the company doesn't have to bear the upfront cost.

For trucks that Criss cross Nigeria, they should migrate to CNG powered.

You forgot to add that the adulterated diesel you are talking about is produced from stolen crude.

And no, it's not cooked or produced. The diesel is stolen from industries and oil companies and mixed with stolen crude, and it is not N300.

Trucks to transport foodstuffs and livestock requires diesel and luxury buses so also does the manufacturing sector of the economy. It's a win for Nigerians.

You dey mind that guy? Trucks for transporting petrol to the filling stations for final distribution is run by a diesel. Then those filling stations uses diesel powered generators to power the fuel pump that is used to sell petrol.

That guy in particular, I think he is a very shallow person.

It(diesel) has even more impact on poor masses than fuel. It's the primary increase in the cost of production and interstate transportation.

It's Diesel that is use to manufactured many of the house hold stuff we use, it's diesel that will also be use to transport it around Nigeria

I think, I have to disagree with you to an extent. The high price of food stuff is as a result of the high price of diesel in the market. Prices of goods especially food stuff in Benue State is relatively cheaper, but taking those items to cities where it's demand is high will cost a lot of cash as those trucks drivers will charge you based on the amount they bought a litre of diesel. So, I think there's a strong correlation here.
