Good point. Especially given the fact that none of their natve populations originate or sponsor Terrorism like the core Sharia States up north.

The key leaders from those Middle Belt states need to more frequently meet more and speak with one voice and make a lot of noise about it. Create their own media to sound and resound their positions. It is quite sad that someone like TY Danjuma refused to meld with any existing Middle Belt Group since according to him...in the past....a so called Middle Belt group sort of duped him. So there needs to be one solid Middle Belt group to represent the interest of the states concerned even that means investing in their own media to state their positions.

By default, NTA which has already been hijacked by Northern interests will always want to sing the whole 19 northern states nonsense like some uncircumcised Gorrilla.

No conference is needed. The political heavy weights in the North are behind the insecurity, or at least, they don't want it to end. They use it as a political bargain chip, to promote Fulani hegemony via land grabbing, and fan the flame of religious intolerance, which perpetuates their power.
