Labour Shutdown Nsitf Office Nationwide by OwoFactual: 5:10pm On Apr 26
The staff union of the agency under the auspices of ASSBIFI/TUC shut down Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund offices nationwide. Instead of increasing staff salary and taking care of staff welfare the management of the fund decided this to be the right time to cut staff salary in the name of tax which has never been remitted. No receipt for previous tax deductions. The Fund is plague with corruption from the time of the previous administration and has not yet been put to check by this administration..
According to rumor, they are under the protection of the Chief of Staff (Gbaja) and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (Akume) in connection with the former Minister of labor (Chris Ngige).
The President's investigative search light is urgently needed to deliver this social welfare agency from long deep havoc reckoning corruption.
