Well, the 2000 and 2500 mentioned in this thread is a lie, fuel from black marketers is being sold around 1500 per liter and at the filling station, it goes for 950 max. Person wey report this thing is a liar. And for the locked up filling stations in Kebbi, Sokoto and some part of Zamfara, may peace be far from the owners. |

Friday it was 1100/litter. Saturday it turned 1200/litter. Naira has no value. Throwing thousands of naira for basic needs and nothing significant is accomplished. Meanwhile diesel is cheaper all of a sudden. 2 Likes |

Typical tactics. This is the usual style of apc and bat. Make prices go up astronomically then reduce it a bit so thier minions can start shouting 'massive reduction', 'prices are going down', and other rubbish praises. 1 Like |

Kukutenla: The amount of money wasted on subsidy and losses that result. See Venezuela. Fuel costs less than the equipment of 40 naira. Fuel refining capacity has fallen and in one year they lost 18 bn dollars to smuggling. And pdvsa, their equivalent of nnpc is basically a mess. |

They said the fuel would be available if subsidy is removed. They, recently, also said the fuel would be cheap if Dangote refinery start working. By the way, Tinubu is better than Buhari, as he plainly said he would continue where Buhari stopped. Buhari, on the other hand, was (and is still) a liar. During his campaign, he said a citizen is cheated if petrol is sold over N50 per liter. He also wept in Bauchi because a pack of pasta was too expensive at N70. Now it's N700 here in Kano. 2 Likes 1 Share |

khalling2008: Nobody had ever expected anything good to come out of the North, not even a revolution. After all, you are your father's sons, the children of the bond woman. From the moment Arewa people's congress grabbed power from Jonathan, we already knew that the country had gone to the dogs. Our expectations for this country was very low, but you people somehow descended even lower than we thought possible. 1 Like |

nairalanda1: Why do you always support explotative policies that impoverish the masses when the government has not done what needs to be done to sanitise the system? A government that has been so secretive about crude utilisation, revenue and other associated dealings chooses to just shift the burden of its ineptitude to the masses and you support so blindly (sorry to 'say'). There are serious questions to be answered and things to do before government can say it wants to fully remove subsidy on such a crucial product. If those issues are not tackled, no amount of 'subsidy removal' would alleviate the hardship. That you might be earning enough to buy fuel at even N2k per litre and not be bothered by the associated increases in cost of living does not mean every one is on your level. Let the government be open and tidy up the system before determining if subsidy on pms is sustainable or not in the short to medium term viz-a-viz the purchasing power of the common man. Remove subsidy on pms, you support. Remove subsidy on electricity, you support. Remove subsidy on fertiliser, you support. Remove subsidy on education, you support. Remove subsidy on health care, you support. What kind on one direction human are you? I pity anyone who would be unfortunate to work under you. 3 Likes |
