Hi spread this, help debunk their lies

COPIED

- 100yrs ago, entire place was land owned by the Oniru family.

- Over a century the beach was lost to the ocean till the erosion started threatening VI till early 2000s

- 2003- BAT engaged Hitech to build the “Wall of Lagos”, reclaim the land and build Eko Atlantic. Reached agreement with Oniru before project on ownership of the land to be reclaimed.

- 2007ish- the idea of the coastal road was birthed, to start from Eko Atlantic.

- 2007 Landmark bought property backing the “ocean” which is e basically land that based on plan will be reclaimed. With a clearly marked fence that ends just before the water that based on plan will be reclaimed.

- - 2017 ish Landmark went to his “backyard and created a football pitch” on a land that he didn’t buy and was collecting money.

- 2018ish- Landmark continued expanding on land that they didn’t buy, building shanties and charging money.

- 2019-20 Landmark grew bolder and was selling shops space on the beach to businesses. I have to emphasize, on the beach front that he did not buy.

- Around 2019/20 Oniru beach also opened up.
- Around 2021, LaCampagne also joined them.

- 2023- Lekki Deep seaport was completed. Opening up additional economic activity on the coastal line.

- 2023- BaT was elected, coastal Hitech revisited their old friend and proposed to start phase 1 that links Eko Atlantic to Deep Seaport

- 2024- project started, Road is supposed to pass through LandMark’s “backyard that they didn’t buy.

- FG gave notice to everyone including Onirus (that owned the land before it was lost to the sea) and LaCampagne.

- Everybody knew this day would come, so everybody Jejely vacated land that they know they did not buy. Landmark said lailai and started media rounds.

- 2024- Landmark claimed they have $200m investment on the beach.

- Umahi visited and conceded that rather than have 100m corridor, the one at his side will be 50m, and gave Landmark engineering tips to retain the tourism.

- Landmark said coastal road should pass in front of property, not the back. The front is 2 line a road, the coastal road is supposed to be 10 lanes. With 100m corridor. Landmark’s proposal will actually affect the land he bought, if accepted.

- Last weekend Umahi carried on as planned. Destroyed the shanties on the beach worth “$200m”.

It’s too long, but that’s the summary.

There’s so much sentiments at play here. Landmark owners should just be grateful that FG ad not gone the right way of prosecuting them for illegal enthronement on FGs right of way. He dare not try this in any other country. He’ll definitely do jail time. NONSENSE!!!

Landmark didn't own the land

Nobody but the FG owns shorelines .

The landmark guy overstepped his boundaries.

It was up to the FG to reclaim their right of the beach land and not Lagos state government.

That's why the ''resort" behind his state approved property was rightly demolished.

That's how 2 brothers went and got an illegal allocation from a Director of lands of the FCT without final ministerial approval and immediately began selling it bit and parcel. Petitions began flying into Wike's office concerning the illegality of the allocation process that occured during the transition phase between the outgoing Buhari govt to that of Tinubu's

Tinubu had yet to appoint ministers into his cabinet when the deal to allocate 10,000 acres was carried out between the brothers and a crooked director of lands .

The real allottees of the land petitioned Wike who took their case up and immediately called for a probe and saw the entire scheme as illegal. Wike then ordered demolition of ongoing projects that were being financed and carried out directly by those unfortunate to buy land from the brothers.

The brothers then went to town slandering Wike as being Anti Ibo and even sent a direct txt message to the minister.

Their people, who have come to hate Wike for several reasons, took the side of the brothers and began a media campaign of calumny against the person of Wike.

Wike being who he is, would not let their lies and deciet go free. He convened a press meeting and exposed the truth and sharp practices that these two brothers have been doing in Abuja with connivance with corrupt FCT land officials.

Whenever these people cry victim know that something is amiss.

the current demolition exercise for the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway does not only affect people of just one ethnic group. MOST of those affected are actually Yoruba, including the Oniru family and their Mami Chula Beach resort, amongst many others.
thank God that The Federal Government is implementing it under their own brother Dave Umahi.

The question is did Oniru family sell the beach to messers Landmark?
Why is the Oniru family silent because the demolition will affect their interests most.

Before you buy any land in Lagos state, be 100% sure the land doesn’t belong to the government State or Federal. You see all these Omo onile families, they’re just after the money and would do anything to get the money off you.

Rule number 1: All lands belong to the government. We only lease them over a period of time. That’s one reason I’ve not even tried to purchase any land in this Lagos yet.

There must be a starting and end point.

Have you considered that the road will be tolled and that it's construction carried out in phases in such a way that as it progresses eastward from Lagos it will get more dividends from tolls and real estate investments ?

Starting from Calabar may not be beneficial to the project as that route will not attract much traffic and investments than that closer to Lagos..

Think for once.

Beach fronts in Ogun and Ondo will attract more traffic from Lagos and thus help pay for the project as it progresses given their proximity to Lagos..
Starting from Calabar will not be commercially viable to sustain the project construction unlike from West to east.

Think for once.
