Tis a priority now, we are tired of longer time on ph - Lag road, most of these complainers never travelled by road as they are always on air.

Their cohorts are those waiting on onitsha owerri and owerri Port Harcourt road taxing motorist, in other words, they protecting their boys on the road

The golden egg is from the coastal communities, some of these communities hasn't seen vecles on road till date and would be opportunity to travel by road to town and cities.

The road will bring needed development and tourist to the regions, especially nigerdelta.

A situation where vehicles have to divert through Ughelli on Mondays because eastern agitators of ESN sit at home would be corrected.

I am sure those behind such agitation to discredit current regime will oppose construction of the road.

Continue to dey speak English.... Your fathers condemned the 3rd Mainland Bridge then too that it wasn't a priority. Your uncles said same about the 2nd Niger Bridge (Muhammadu Buhari Bridge) too. Not seeing good in any good things is in your bloodlines. Sorry, we can't help you.

Again, it is a good project, but not a priority at this tight times.

There are already existing roads in need of repair at the fraction of the cost of the estimated cost of that coastal road that would serve an even more urgent purpose than the coastal road.

When this turns out to be the shambles it would eventually become, some clowns would turn on Umahi and his tribe and conveniently excuse the person on whose table the buck stops.

From what perspective is it not a priority?

Surely it is not the financing.

Government is putting in $1bn while private sources are putting in $14/bn. If there is no coastal road, the private interest is not going to transfer the money to other roads.

We heard this argument over the TMB, we heard it over the ikoyi- Lekki bridge. We will hear it over future projects. That's why we have a democracy. People have the right to speak and Government has the mandate to govern.

They are very Selfish people

They saw Buhari building Railway for his People even to Niger using the Niger Delta Resources

It is now time that FG was to throw the Niger Delta small rope by building them a Coastal Highway they are now very disgracefully protesting

Mind you the North is not Complaining

Why didn't they stop Buhari from Building the 2nd Niger Bridge then
So they could help FG save money?

It's the number 6 for me!

Whether eventually completed or not, this project is going to be a cash cow for those in government for a very very long time just like the Dangote Refinery.

This project is the most economically sound and transformative project in the history of Nigeria, this 7000km concrete project opens up massive economic potential of hundreds of communities and states, easy movement of goods and services across 9 states and beyond.

Economically sound indeed. Have you considered how much money is being WASTED on this Dead On Arrival project? All roads along our highways are in deplorable state. How about fixing that first to for economic growth?

Can't the project be stopped? .... we shout defending democracy but autocracy is in our face and wayyy too many can't see it. As I see it ... Tinubu said it was his turn ... he wanted the title of President and got it.... mission accomplished. Two terms? ... not excited. So he is trying to grab all he can for himself and generations to come before elections. This is the best and most urgent project because it requires the most money. Starting in Lagos because of proximity and where he has control and support. After looting the project funds .... his family will continue for decades to come ..... be collecting tolls from the Lagos end .... which most likely will be the only completed section of the project. This guy need to be taken out and locked up. The project should be stopped on grounds of violating the procurement process.

The obidients definitely have more functional brains than you. You and your bedevilled rogue who doesn't give a hoot about Nigerians.

"The moment the project is completed". Dumb statement. Completed with your father's money bah?

I agree with you. Only who are for minutes vision and goal see no need for this project at this time. But those who are for greater things knows the importance and the significance of the project to Nigeria and Tinubu administration in some years to come.

Can Nigeria afford this presidency. This is just year one.

Okay Guz: Let's give you the 5 (nay 10!) mindset of criminal Nigerian politicians:

1. Embark on NEW "White Elephant" project/s you know you MAY NOT conclude within your illegitimate mandate.
2. Use it to get back money spent before, during and after elections.
3. Use it to get more funds for next election (if it doesn't work, cash out and abandon the project/s)
4. Hurry up some phases of the projects (as "EVIDENCE"wink, but don forget to Do Copy & Paste or AI-generate Plans such us EIA
5. All major stakeholders (consultants) must cooperate esp to inflate costs and wire money via complex networks
6. Use your offices/forces to outmuscle opponents/communities
7. Propagandise at all times
8. Quality is relegated, but press on schedule.
9. Start with the easiest tasks
10. Deflect any attempts to theme the project as selfishly induced !

We the patriotic citizens of Nigeria extend our FULL support to this project and firmly believe in Jagaban's leadership. It's crystal clear to us that PBAT is fully aware of the steps he's taking, and we have complete trust in his judgment. We are FULLY convinced that this project is not only necessary but also the correct course of action. Our faith in PBAT remains steadfast, grounded in the assurance that he possesses the competence and foresight to steer us in the right direction. Our commitment to him is unshakable, and we stand ready to stand by him through thick and thin. However, should circumstances arise where the project isn't completed or promises aren't upheld, we reserve the right to reassess our support. Yet, we are confident that failure is an unfamiliar word in Tinubu's political Dictionary of life and we remain radically optimistic about the success of this project.

God Bless Nigeria

God Bless PBAT.

This is one of the #30k ebinpawa criminals. Inspite of your inability to think, you still will not leave your family house building uncompleted and initiate the construction of a separate mansion, especially when you're so indebted that you can hardly eat. And the said mansion will take an eon to complete. This is an allegory and I'm sure you can't decipher it.

Just imagine what Nigeria will incur to service the loan that will be collect for this controversial project - at a whooping 96% rate. Remember debt servicing is not debt repayment. Meanwhile there are other more pressing national issues than these coastal roads. Investors are fleeing away and the economy is stagnating.
will you keep quite......is it your father they sent to bank to collect the loan? Or where did you see Government say they will borrow to finance it?

A 2-year-old baby has a higher IQ than your village drunkard idiotic father and mother at the Aba baby factory where you came from.
Ode, ole. The project will be completed then you will stop crying and wailing.
When Buhari started the 2nd Niger bridge, were all potholes fixed before he started?
When your Agulu warlord invested 30 million dollars of Anambra money into Hero Beer, were all roads in Anambra already fixed, was all the schools fixed? Wasn't erosion still a major problem?
Your problem is that the project will have Tinubu's name stamped on it for life, it will also connect the SS to the SW while excluding your evil jungle.
You go wail and cry tire. Your cacophony is irrelevant and inconsequential in the scheme of things. Kontinu.

Meanwhile; -The Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Highway only scaled through the first phase of reconstruction under the last administration.

-The Abuja-Lokoja Highway has not been completed. With its huge land mass, the northern region has more of such decrepit road infrastructure.

-The East-West Road, a coastal road network in the South-South has been a work in progress through four administrations since 2005. The Calabar-Oron end and final stretch has not been touched.

-A failed section of the road in Eleme, Rivers State, precipitated a fuel tanker fire late last month that burnt 120 vehicles and killed five persons.

-The Calabar-Ituh Road, Ningi’s committee spent six hours on a journey, which ordinarily should take one hour; and the senator decried: “I have never seen and experienced what we saw on that road anywhere. Thousands of trucks stuck in traffic with little or no motion.”

-The Benin Sapele Highway and Benin-Auchi-Okene-Lokoja Road remain a nightmare for motorists, who perennially block them in protest.

-The Benin-Sagamu Expressway rehabilitation, started by the Jonathan administration, is still unfinished work.

-The Lagos-Badagry-Seme Highway, whose Lagos end will increase from four to 10 lanes, is begging for completion.

-In the South-East, reconstruction work on the Enugu-Port Harcourt Highway stopped at the Aba end, due to the lack of funds, as the Buhari presidency wound up.

-The dual carriage work on the Owerri–Aba road has been suspended.

I believe it's about Eko Atlantic and private investments in which the President has interest that is pushing the project. The focus should have been more on linking riverine areas via roads and bridges than linking Lagos.
