President Bola Tinubu has boasted that Nigeria would become self-sufficient in food production during his tenure in office.

The president affirmed that having received the traditional title of Jagaban Borgu in Niger about 20 years ago, he would support every effort of the state at speedy development.

Tinubu made this known on Thursday while performing the groundbreaking ceremony of the 84km, N169.7 billon Bida to Minna road construction in Kakakpagi, Katch Local Government Area of the state.

He called on leaders of other subnationals to emulate what he termed “the giant strides of the Niger State Governor Mohammed Bago”.
