Justwise how are you doing? Please I want to confirm if it's necessary for me to book an appointment online with the visa centre. Or i can just go there and submit my application straight up.

. I noticed people also use the British Deputy High Commission. It seems those addressing it in Lagos do that while those addressing in Abuja use the one you gave. Although I learnt every visa application is processed in Abuja so maybe it doesn't matter which you use.

The picture will be taken at the submission centre, they will use their own digital camera for the biometric.

@Cavenchy - Thanks for your response. I personally believe, the visa application process is too restrictive and costly for any person to have to go through more than once following a rejection which is one of the reasons I first started the Part 1 post. If you look at other things the government has done to restrict immigration it is equally frustrating. Everything about it is a money making machine. Costly visa, more expensive tuition fees, you pay tax but are not entitled to general healthcare or benefits, some bank accounts charge you for being an international student, student halls of residence are very expensive and local landlords look for a British guarantor so do not care for your parent in Nigeria. Again all frustrating. I believe you can make profit without draining/cheating people and immigration helps country that know where its value lies a lot. America would not have google or eBay without immigrants for instance.

Anyway, forget my rant. Lol. Justwise, DisGuy and so many other people here have continued the good work of this thread when DegreeAngel's popularity and my other commitments meant I could not personally come here. They have spearheaded this on and continue to do so and I really appreciate their time and efforts. God will bless them immensely.

My latest focus on immigration that would affect almost everyone on this thread is centred on accommodation and employment for students and that is why I asked for the forms to be filled.

I joined Nairaland today basically because of this thread and i would like to say a big Thank you to Justwise and all who have created time out of their busy schedules to help others, you guys are doing a great job.

Just a piece of advice to most of us, lets take out some time to do a little research by reading most of what has been posted from page one of this thread till now and we would see that most of our questions have already been answered. I filled my visa application form based on the advice i got from this thread while reading all the pages from the first thread till now and i had absolutely no problem with filing it and the documents involved. I submitted today and now waiting to hear from the embassy.

Thanks to all who has contributed to this thread, Cheers
