@okija i dont agree with that, me and my husband once sold a car that we never changed a name from the original users name. we did not need to do all that because we rarely used the car.

2. Check the Vehicle Licensing Office locally to see if the details on the title matches their own record. Also ensure it matches with the details of the seller(if not there should be a change of ownership doc which is verifiable)

3. Find out from the Police department that handles reported stolen car for list of stolen vehicles.
