Kaduna — Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa of Kaduna state yesterday appealed to non-indigenes in state not leave, saying the security of their lives and property is guaranteed.

The governor who spoke when he met with the leadership of the non-indigenes in the state led by Chief Ganiyu Oguntoyibo, president of Yoruba in the northern part of the country said his administration would not relent on efforts to ensure peaceful co-existence among all.

A statement by the Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Reuben Buhari said Yakowa also met with all heads of security agencies in the state on how best ensure security of lives and properties.

"In view of the current security challenges, His Excellency on Sunday held an extensive meeting with heads of security agencies in the state with a view of ensuring the security of lives and property of different communities residing in Kaduna met with heads and later met with the chiefs of various communities in the state. The governor in the meeting urged the communities not to leave the state, he assured them of maximum security," the statement reads.

Anyways Kaduna has remained relatively peaceful.
