This is total nonsense, it is said everyman has a price. Now GEJ have put incompetent people in PIB so he continues using Nigerians. They have shown clearly how corrupt they are. Nigerians must not agree to their terms, the N65 nairia is what we all need. Let us look at Kano NLC president, he is still fighting the struggle, we here have relaxes. The UN guy has disapproved of his advice and said he would never have taken such a decision because he was ill adviced. Let things be put in place before removal of subsidy. Occupy Nigeria and the supporters of progress must seek civil right to protest. There is clearly massive corruption. Who can we trust noW?. The NLC guyS whould have won fame from 150million people than the few corrupt officials. Their names would have been written in golden. Now they stand out as very corrupt officials. The international community will never come in because it is clear we allow these people get their ways. While will government officials consume half of the budget. With over 1000 govt. Top officials fed, got , senate, national assembly etc and each taking approx 200-300 minimum. Let us all stand and fight this evil actionS, however, the strike was only suspended and can continue. If the government can bend to 97naira, they indeed have no genuine motive on d increment. Imagine a thief using Her dog to bite thieves. Allison madueke calling efcc, she will never be brought to book. God has helped us let us now help ourselves.

Are you surprised?  grin Esele will soon be a governor; and will be appointed into a committee to mediate between Labour and the Federal Looters.  grin A TUC Leader now taking appointments from the FEC. Where is Oshiomole today? Are you also surprised? He needs Jona's support in the coming election and that is why he has been going for every buffet and don perilon gathering organized in Aso Rock.  tongue

now the tradition continues

The Presidency has made a good decision incorporating members of the Civil Societies and positive Activist into every board. Lets see what impact they can make in developmental strides. Its not enough to criticize, that young man has been very very pragmatic and factual in his postulates about the Petroleum sector. By this step I know there is hope for every positive activism. I will like to see people criticizing positively and not like Bakare and El-Rufai. When you criticize, please offer a solution and you will be welcomed by the Feds to help improve our country. Congrats Peter Esele
Re: TUC President Peter Esele -Appointed To Board Of Pib by EvilBrain1(m): 9:39am On Jan 18, 2012
It's only in Jonathan's Nigeria that this type of open and undisguised bribery can occur. Even IBB and Abacha at least had the decency to hide their graft from public view. But Jonathan is either too corrupt or too stup1d to do that. The guy promises to "tackle corruption" and then does this just days later?

What he doesn't realize is that by discrediting labour and civil society groups, he is eliminating the level heads that could end the next crisis peacefully. The next time Nigerians have cause to come out and protest, it will not end well for Goodluck.

Ignorance is a diseases. People should learn to verify facts
before comming on internet to spew rubbish.

There is no better representation from labour to the board
of PIB than Esele. Quote me.

Obviously, the guy understands
the Nigerian petroleum industry. Esele had been
working in the oil industry for many years and was also
president of PENGASSAN for many years before becomming
president of TUC. Apart from being a labour leader, Esele had
been a member of several boards in the oil and Gas  industry including
that of the Petroleum Products Pricing and Regulatory Agency (PPPRA).

You are doomed if you assume in your biased mind that his
appointment to represent labour in the board of PIB is compensation
from GEJ for calling off the recent strike action.

By the way, is it GEJ that appointed him? No. It is labour
(not GEJ) that nominated him to represent them.

Are you sure you wrote this? Why should someone meant to check government excesses now be appointed by the same government. Havent you read about the theory of Loyalty and Allegiance; where a man is expected to pay obeiance to his master and that will eventually lead to compromise which will negate what he swore to as the leader of TUC. Check what you have written again.

If this was a well-run country, such a public Board would sit without financial burden on the country's resources - At the end, the only cost would be for tea, biscuits, and stationery for a 'Thank You' note at the end of their sitting.

But this is Naija, so it begs the question: What is the budget for running the PIB Board? N1,000,000,000,000,000.00?  shocked

Esele is a smart and vibrant mind, the type that should be working for GEJ. All this noise of anti-subsidy is a little immature and just former pent-up anger of the failed state called Nigeria. This isnt the fault of GEJ. Please, we should channel this pains on our representatives and those thieving govs and those holding our regions backward.
Esele, Congrats! cool
