The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has invited 38 oil marketers who allegedly benefited from the controversial N1.3trillion subsidy incurred last year by the Federal Government. http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news-update/34210-efcc-invites-38-oil-marketers-over-n1-3tr-subsidy-cash.html |

The usual ticking of the boxes. You can bet your last Naira that no big fish will be charged to court. A couple of small players would probably be sacrificed and business would continue as usual. |

I commend GEJ's move to curb corruption in Nigeria. I hope that whomever that is found guilty will be brought to book and justice will take its course. Fingers crossed. |

I hope Saraki is on the committe of those investigating this people o. Cos if not for him, all this idiots will still be stealing our money. How i wish Saraki can leave PDP and join AC as he is a very progressive leader but then again, Tinubu is a thieve and won't want Saraki to rubbish himself. |

DOA DEAD ON ARRIVAL!!!! for the following reasons: (1) Why would EFCC limit their scope to a list released by Senate committee When did Senate become a register of Oil Marketers (2) GEJ!! Fight corruption? How can His Minister of Aviation Stella Oduah(Major Importer of Petrol) and major campaigner for him is still sitting KAMPE in Aso Rock shaving his head. She owns SPG and on CBN website they are constantly listed as an Importer buying Forex for fuel import. (3) Hypocrisy: FEC cabinet meeting: Ngozi Okonjo seats on one side of GEJ saying remove subsidy and expose them, Stellla Oduah seats on the left hand side winking to GEJ, make your head correct o!!! I sorry for the man sha!!! They have occupied him |

If well observed, one would find out the major influence on this write-up is politics. The mistake PDP made under Obj is that they want to win at all cost. OBJ confirmed that their thirst for the power is in the order of "DO OR DIE". OBJ is stronger than his successors in might and experiences, so he could tame these Oil Barons from excesses. But his successors aren't as strong as he is. This is a PDP character of do or die politics. They used the Oil Barons to bankroll their campaign and compensate them with oil money. But they grew stronger and attained the lofty height of CABAL as tagged by this regime. If goodluck and PDP could ask for their hand in marriage to get Visa to Aso rock, why should they not sort out their differences without purnishing the innocent Nigerians more? Note that: Importers were 8 as at the end of 2007. In Early hours of Yaradua's regime, more electoral financiers ere brought in to get their own compensation. It now increased to 22. In 2010, after the demise of Yaradua, 14 more were drafted in for compensation(Independents). In summary, 14 independent importers were brought in by Yaradua. Another 14 by Jona. 240 billion was enough for 8 marketers to share. But definitely not juicy enough for 36. Should the masses be blamed for this? I encourage posters to always read between lines before jumping into erroneous conclusions. |

This is just another camouflage move to please people mind, the issue will look like biting the finger that feeding you. Can GEJ himself turned against his clan? Did he has that kind of power and courage ? Anyway time will tell. But as for me am 100% sure nothing will happen to the main perpetrators because they are too powerful for GEJ and his EFCC. If it's another president that make this move now I would have celebrate it. But definitely not GEJ |

EFCC, just show us results and stop telling us what you want to do. We're tired of all these tales by moonlight. Come back and tell us the result of your investigation and who (if any) will be prosecuted. Until then, just hide your faces from Nigerians. |
