its intention might not have been tribal in nature , but in its execution , tribalism was definitely a factor.

If its a lie,then tell us the accurate figure.Remember he said a commission of inquiry was set up to investigate the pogrom and their report was published according to Ojukwu in the interview.I guess the figure he gave was based on the report.

Why waste your time with that history revisionist?
Just check out his posts, and you'll see he's hell bent on rewritting the history of the civil war. If he's not posting a false thread about how Igbos brutalized other easterners, he'll be reproducing Gowon's broadcast from memory and without any supporting link.
If I were you, I'll stay away from such a brazen, lying, and shortsighted revisionist. Despite the current vindication of Ojukwu by Boko Haram, people like him are still stuck on their gut hatred for Igbos, easterners, and Biafra in general.

You fools should not attempt to celebrate the pogroms or make light of what actually happened. During the Araba pogroms before the war, Igbos were hunted down, house to house and lynched by mobs including Hausa, Yoruba, and other non Igbos.

An eyewitness told me that, it was a case of neighbors hunting down neighbors simply because the victim was Igbo. May we never experience such darkness in Nigeria.

You internet warriors spreading hatred and tribalism should be careful of what you may be inadvertently inciting. Be very careful.

When Nzeogwu was interviewed, he apologized over some unnecessary deaths of some officers citing over zealousness and incompetence of some officers.(If u know your history APE, then you should know one of the officers that left a loose end and the one that went on a killing spree. Peeps have you read the book"Chuwuma"by Olusegun Obasanjo.In the book he idolized Nzeogwu and he called him a discipline soldier and a revolutionist and they were best of friends.And also you may ask the question when Nzeogwu boby was discovered after the battle of Obollo-Afor,the Nigeria troops took him with them back to Nigeria and gave him a heroic burial.So this is the same man some accused of leading Igbo coup aimed and killing just Non igbo officers.
