Hello house! I was denied B1/B2 in year 2012 but I'm planning of writing IELTS and then apply for F1 visa next year and I'm thinking of visiting some african countries to avoid going to the US embassy with a virgin passport but my fear is that with all this denial things I am seeing here makes my heart beat for fear. I am not working of which the VO would ask my work here in nigeria. What's my chance of getting my F1 approved if I tell the VO that I don't work. |

misschocolate: Visiting African countries to dis-virgin your passport is a waste of money. The visa officers are not impressed with those stamps. Only entry and exit on time from "good" countries count. UK. USA. Shengen. places like that. Your ties to home that prove you will return are what they will look at. |

Re: My Experience At The American Embassy Abuja by pretty16(f): 12:25am On Jul 28, 2017 |
Niyiprize: Your medicals is done in Lagos. Your case must be an immigrant visa. The hospitals to do your medicals are included on the form sent to you from NVC. Your police certificate is done on the island. Alagbon street. It's very close to the passport office on the island. Hope this helps |

I was denied B1/B2 USA visa on 28 November 2017. Please I want to reapply but need to make some changes in my profile especially my workplace but I can't find such link. Note that I have an existing profile and I have gotten to where to put my payment reference code but I decided to pause and ask questions if my information will open after this stage of payment. Secondly, it seems like my profile still bears the old barcode I used in my last interview. Does it need to change? |

Always be comfortable with the stories you are presenting. That is the key, just be natural, don't make USA visa a do or die when sitting in front of the vo. Don't try to impress them too much, just be natural with who you say you are and what you are going to do in usa . |

I just graduated from a Nigerian polytechnic in August 2018 and I wish to go visit my girlfriend who's a US citizen. She will be graduating from college by June 2019 and I wish to be at her graduation. I actually have relatives who are US citizens but I don't know if I would be given a visa; cos I have heard lot of people say if you are not married, don't have a job and no travel history you may not be given a visa. So I want to be advised on the best approach to getting a visa. |

Hello Fam, please I need expat advice, my wife apply for b1/b2 visa in 2018 she was denied when she applied she mentioned during the interview that I work in a reputable organisation. This year we apply as family with our son but I put it in my application that I am a business owner, During the interview the visa officer asked the following question, Vo why are you going to the usa ME: I will be going for holiday purpose VO Where in usa ME: Texas, VO: What do you do? ME: I am ceo of xxxx and I'm into Bleep etc VO: Do you have a family, cousin No. Have u travelled before as a family No. Sorry you dont have requirement for the visa this time you can reapply later. My question do you think we would have been denied because of inconsistent in job profile or because of travel history or due to ties abroad? How do I manage this issues of job profile in future. Pls advise, I intend to build travel history now to uk and to visit some European country before applying again |
