Serbia and Manchester United U19s goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic (17 years old) with Sir Alex Ferguson. At 6.75f in height, this guy is taller than Courtois. If this guy could have 90% of DDG's reflexes, then we got a real bus parked in our goal. His aerial dominance would be second to none. Defenders wouldn't worry about any crossing coming within 10 yards.

Louis van Gaal claims he's more of a perfectionist than his Manchester United predecessor Sir Alex Ferguson. Van Gaal has been frustrated by Manchester United's level of performances despite six successive wins lifting them to third place in the Premier League. "I am not only focused on results although that's the most important thing. When I speak with Sir Alex he says "not any problem, you have won. "Ok, the results are very good but we can improve the performances as a team. I am always speaking about the team. And I think that the team can improve itself still more. "For example the game against Hull City [a 3-0 win] was a good game. We dominated for 90 minutes and I want to see more games like that. There have been too few games that we have dominated 90 minutes and that's a process. "Of course, when you win six times in a row then the confidence of the team rises but I am still looking for a game that it's more closer to the perfect game than we have given until now.” [Source: Express] |

On a serious no: BBC Sport Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has made midfielder Michael Carrick his new vice-captain. Darren Fletcher was given the role as deputy at the start of the season, but the Scot has been restricted to just 49 minutes since the end of August. Carrick, 33, has returned from an ankle injury to start all six games in United's current winning run. "I have three captains," said Van Gaal. "You have a sequence: Wayne Rooney is one, Carrick is two, Fletcher three." "He brings a lot of experience but also a lot of composure," said the Dutchman. "He can transfer my philosophy on to the pitch." Carrick operated in the middle of a three-man central defence in the 3-0 win over Liverpool at Old Trafford last weekend. It is a role he is suited to, although Van Gaal does not view Carrick's switch from his preferred central midfield role as permanent. "Now we don't have Daley Blind, when I choose Carrick in defence, I miss him in midfield." Leyqute: attack is nice but the midfield/defence is crap. you need at least one leader in every department. in the absence of herrera, blind & marouane, carrick should be marshalling that midfield. |

coogar: LvG wants to dominate the match and win. Carrick can man d midfield when in possitn n rooney can be the leader when defending. The defence however is still as shaky as ever. Hope Evans doesn't make any stupid mistake today. |

coogar:You'll notice that players are getting advanced duties during matches. When in possession, carrick becomes a dm and pairs with the midfielders to maintain possession. He can provide a base from which to launch attacks |
