Mata is a very productive player.As long as he plays he will rack up assists and goals stats.Van gaal was compelled by injury to RVP and Di Maria's suspension to do the right thing and play the right players in their right positions and it's led to a fluid football in the last 2 games.One can only hope that the return of RVP does not derail this momentum. He was awful before his injury.

This is really where we ought to be.4th was the bare minimum this season.City have not been that good.The only reason why we dropped a lotta points earlier is because Van Gaal illogically tried to fit Rooney, RVP and Falcao into the team...the latter 2 being terribly bad.He has since corrected this and we are starting to play to our potential.Long may it continue! !

Wayne Rooney has warned his Manchester United team-mates that their victory over Liverpool will count for nothing if they fail to beat Aston Villa on Saturday.
Rooney believes victory over Villa would represent a very good result for United, especially if Liverpool lose at Arsenal.
