in that period, chelsea still had mourinho. we made about £60m purchase of midfielders & the expectations were pretty high. we didn't win our first 3 league games & the win against spurs was hard-fought!

van gaal needs time - none of the players he bought in the defence has even kicked a ball. rojo + blind + fat shaw haven't played this season. it's pretty hazy to judge him with an unfit evans, confused jones & inexperienced blackett.

moyes had a full squad at his disposal & he did nothing with it......that's the difference as of now. the internationals couldn't have come at a better time. rojo/blind/shaw/rafael should be ready by then.
