Belgian Power Firm Enters Nigerian Market With Quality Generators by omosexy1: 1:27pm On Feb 22, 2012
Sydney and Samuels International Limited, a Nigerian Independent Power Producing company, has entered into a strategic partnership with Europower of Belgium to provide quality generating sets to the Nigerian market. Europower is a power generating firm based in Belgium. The company manufactures and distributes generators in Europe and over 54 countries in the world. The company says it is entering the Nigerian market to eliminate sub-standard generating sets which render poor service and can sometimes be dangerous.

Luc Heylands, General Manager, Europower, speaking to BusinessDay during the launch of the generators in Lagos said "We have about 40 percent of our market in Belgium, even with just two times in five minutes electricity fall out in a year, they still need generators. China has over 9 million generators out of which 2 million come to Nigeria. We are here in Nigeria with durable quality generators. We see Nigeria as huge market for generators because the country will consistently need a lot of infrastructure and agricultural development. We have market for road and rail construction; there is a market for back up in telecom operations and farms, there is a market in the farms.
