honsule: used your desktop manager to back up and restore. . . .your fone would come out new. it's a very minor issue or a manufacturer's error. |

login123: i don't sell blackberry phones. . . .but i know how they work. bb 9000 is way too inferior to bb 9700. the build quality of the 9700 is better. it's lighter, smaller and more technologically advanced than the 9000. bold 9000 comes with 2 mega-pixel camera and the 9700 comes with 3.2 mega-pixel. the screen of 9000 is 480 X 320 whilst the 9700 is 480 X 360. the screen of the 9700 is sparkling and clearer. . . .the battery life of 9700 is much much better than the 9000. |

honsule: what tool are you using to achieve this? i would advise you get the desktop manager from the official black berry website. get that downloaded on your system and connect your phone to your laptop with a usb. . . . .then just click restore. it would back up your data and restore your fone back to factory settings. yes, i know it sometimes get stuck in the middle but it's mainly because of slow internet connection. find somewhere that has got broadband connection to do this - it's a common problem when the speed is slow. try it and your phone would be back to normal. login123: bb storm was good whien it came out but it lost out after 2010. connection speed upgraded from 3g to 3.5g and the fact that the storm has no wi-fi made it inferior to the other fones then. it's a shyte fone, avoid it. storm 2 was a bit better but then it's about style and affordability. |

bb storm was good whien it came out but it lost out after 2010. Long losted out even before 2010. |

I have the storm 2 and it does have 3G wifi. Had it for 2 years now, time for an upgrade next month which is next week yayy |

@OP if you want good battery life, go for the 9700. if you are heavy user, the battery of the bold 9900 wont last you. i think its only in the battery division the 9700 beats the 9900. there's also the issue of the fone bricking which the company (RIM) has admitted to. you may want to play it safe and go for the 9700. alternatively you could go for the torch devices that came out at about the same time as the bold 9900. they are of same spec n i doubt they brick if overcharged. cheers |

That 9780 na shyte phone. Battery does not last, network comes and goes and the phone is always hanging. U av to keep doing a battery pull. |

R u talking about the same 9780 I'm using? Its my first BB and I'm not enjoying it @ all! The browser is always crashing due to low memory, it doesn't recognose my memory card (despite formatting it severally) And the battery runs down too quickly for my liking. If this is what RIM is about, then I see myself getting another phone in the next couple of months. BTW, how did you manage to avoid this issues I'm facing? |

blank: how would the battery last when: your brightness is 100% you use key tones you have 1000 contacts on your bbm when you have different ring tones for different contacts. when you don't close your apps after using them. |
