there cannot reinvest your interest as its less than 100k. your interest is 8783.65 after the first transaction. but if you had a larger capital, you can use the formula to calc the true yield
INTEREST
TRUE YIELD = CAPITAL – INTEREST = P

= P X 100
Initial interst = t
capital - t =T
TY = t/T * 100
ie interest divided by capital minus interst all multiplied by 100 then you use the new rate to calc your interest
example, if am investing 25m for 1yr at 12%
true yield is 300000000/22000000
=13.64%
now using simple interest with your new rate PRT
S.I. =3410000 INSTEAD OF THE 3M EARLIER. I PRAY YOU UNDERSTAND. WELCOME

Bros this your financial mathematics na die ! grin

meristem charges what is obtainable in the industry and for Morgan, the have charges for withdrawal of fund and by the time u add those charges together, it would amount to the same charges.

Morgan charge for withdrawal is just is very negligible it's just N500 between 1.00 to 1,000,000.00 and N1,000 for 1,000,001.00 to 5,000,000.00. Depending on your volume and frequency of transaction what you stand to gain from morgan is more.

Please i invest 105k in tb and i ticked invest with d interest at 10.5% for 290 days in FBN last week Friday. How should i expect at d end of d tenure? i was asked to check for my certificate.

At maturity you will get N9,000. I am sure the fraction remaining would have been sent to your account after removing their commission and VAT.

Guys I humbly ask which bank you guys think it's best to invest TB

I pulled out my funds off GTB to bank with stanbicibtc but learnt they don't rollover interest with capital for re-investing

I need a good bank that can re-invest my interest with capital and though I'm considering Sterling

Be grateful if I can get a solid advice before next week

God bless us all

thanks I understand you very well, but 105k was deducted from my account without any upfront payment of interest. what does that indicate?

No. I don't have accounts with Diamond bank, hence unable to say how good or bad the bank is with Treasury bills. But based on comments from members on this forum, the bank is NOT one of the banks rated high for Treasury bills transactions. I hope my response is able to answer your question.

yes, thanks for the response.

I think it has something to do with the fact that you ticked "invest with interest". You can confirm from the bank when you go for your certificate.

Bro,you are partly correct....but look at it from the Savings perspective!!!
She might just want to lock it down pending when the use for it comes...TB can either be a saving or investment scheme..
Individuals who invest from the savings point of view don't really care about the interest rate..,they only want a decent rate & they always know it's better and most secured than fixed deposit..
The investment point of view is Profit Oriented.
I play on both schemes..!!!

No disputes, you are right in this concept..
In the Accounting World, once your savings gets to a reasonable sum,one is advised to invest, also one can also diverse investment in variant forms as you have highlighted above.
In a brief summary of what i highlighted in previous before you quoted me......Everyone has their aim of locking their funds down.
