presiade:a friend of mine placed a bid of 10.50 for 91 days and he was given 9% for 91days, there was no tax deduction on the 9%. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by presiade(m): 7:53am On Mar 25, 2015 |
princeuk21:What was the successful rate rate for that particular day? If actually 10.50% went through on the said auction date, I suggest he should contact those addresses I stated above. |

so the big question again! which banks in Nigeria wil execute my request at MY PREFERRED RATES? |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by angelo82: 12:19pm On Mar 25, 2015 |
I agree that 15% is a good rate.....But if you bid 15.2% and your bid was successful, the right and ethical thing for the bank to do is to give you your damn bid rate since you bid from the auction and that should be the best practice worldwide..........I hope you get the issue now........ fphumie: 2 Likes |

fphumie: Na wa o, GTB is saying they are not aware that there is an auction this week, but zenith bank confirmed it. Does it mean some banks can decide to opt out? |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by fphumie(f): 11:01am On Mar 26, 2015 |
angelo82:What I meant to say was that the bank sold to him from secondary market because bid was done yesterday and account can only be debited today. For him to have seen alert it simply means that d purchase was done from secondary mkt. Stop rate for yesterday bid for 364 days was 14.85%. So I guess the rate he was given was too ok. Let's not misinform people , it is not possible for the staff of a bank to enrich himself/ herself with customer's interest. |

You are the one mixing up issues.............The guy was talking about the result of 18th auction and not yesterdays auction.......And he gave instruction to his bank to bid for him at 15.something which was successful and later on he received alert showing his bank gave him 15%.....We are talking of unethical/unprofessional conduct here which to me is completely unacceptable...........As for the bolded part stop deceiving yourself bank staffs serially enrich themselves......Infact suppressing customers deposit is a common thing...........I have been a victim several times ...... fphumie: |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Damolux01(m): 12:30pm On Mar 26, 2015 |
wuwu2:First bank's bid wasn't successful, they bided at 15% and stop rate was 14.85%. Unless you indicated a rate lower than that. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by ummitoagirl(f): 12:31pm On Mar 26, 2015 |
Same with ECobank, I am so upset...I even sent them the new calendar on the new bidding dates. My account manager said the treasury department are not aware, therefore no bidding will take place. They probably wanted the bank to bid, so they will sell to customers from the secondary market. dandollar1: |

O ga oh... U will get around N26,250.00 after 91 days and if you invested 1M for 1 yr (364 days) your return should be N105,000.00 at 10.50% deebsman1: 3 Likes |
