Jarus:

The anonymity offered by NL gives it an edge.
I prefer NL to FB. After 10-15 minutes, FB becomes boring to me. I can stay on NL for 5 hours.

We must however not forget that they serve different purposes: NL is a discussion forum, FB is a social network.

That anonymity makes people yearn rubbish.

FB is my best because i have the option to pick my friends and whoever i want to relate and be in line with. On NL even the mad, slow, tribalist and worst children even come here to make incredibly silly comments.

NL should allow us to choose the kind of post and replies we want to read. REALLY THERE ARE MANY IMMATURE AND MAD PEOPLE ON NL.

NL and FB serve different purposes, one is a forum where people meet to share ideas on pressing issues while the other is social networking that allow you to connect with people around the world.
to me both NL and FB are amazing in their own special way, cant do without both.

Facebook is the best, more engaging, educative and addictive.

desperate criminals,  ogogoro men and kreswomen full for NL.
Re: Facebook Vs Nairaland: Which Is More Engaging And Addictive? by noetic16(m): 3:49pm On Mar 07, 2012
nice topic, but the owner of NL simply lacks imagination.

NL should be a lot bigger by now. why not let users develop profiles and interact more.
sticking to the original idea of being a forum is not ideal . . we are in a fast transcending and growing world/industry . . u either grow or become outdated.
NL is fast becoming outdated.

That's what makes it a public forum. There is bound to be divergent views on issues. people cannot be compelled to accept all opinions. You can only ignore any sentimental comments and move ahead. Those negative things will always be there no matter how much a forum (live or online) is censored
