The same thing happened to the United States in the 1950s.
We have now for the first time since the end of the military era given the generals of the Nigerian Armed Forces and oppurtunity to chop billions that has been allocated to them.
Now. With 30 billion dollars a year being thrown into the pot, the Military is again a strong engine for the enrichment of the corrupt. Like all institutions in Nigeria, the push and ambition of the greedy with trump
the honest and soon you'll have to become corrupt of become crushed. Survival at the top tiers of the Nigerian Military will turn into politics like before because 30 billion dollars a year is at stake.
This will create a hijacking by the mega corrupt if it hasn't happened already.

but most importantly, this will create a situation where the Nigerian Government needs to constantly fan the flames of alarm and fear to keep the allocations flowing.
to keep it's 30 billion in tact, the Nigerian Military will need to constantly maintain a perpetual level of justification for the massive allocation.
This will create one of two situations

1. Creation of the Crisis Monger: an increase in 'boko haram' bombings and internal issues that will always be dealt with on a reactive basis but never a preemptive or proactive one. These events more then ever will be sponsored and propogated by those that control the military apparatus and look to benefit from a constant state of alarm and the allocation in justifies

2. Creation of the War Monger: an increase in military adventures outside of Nigeria's boarders to justify the spending when domestic issues aren't 'enough' or come into question. Africa is ripe with crisis to be involved in and with Bomb Haram boasting international ties, the stage is set of crusading Nigerian military to find a new avenue for profiteering. In this scenario, wealth can be accumulated at the great rate because international organizations are likely to assist in funding, and generals are far from the internal security and political devices in Nigeria that may stand agains tthem (stronger political rivals if they ever arise)







We're in for a new era of corruption in Nigera. to a great extent all of this has always been there or has always been on the verge of fully emerging. We're set to see it become a frocal point in our nationhood and it's corruption. Corruption will never be killed in Nigeria, nor will tribalism and complexed politics, it will only shape shift at most until the people are numb or blind of it. Such has happened in Egypt and America.
